Ooooh, there's a book? o_O

Well, yeah, but I've already downloaded the movie, and now I'm awfully curious. ;___;

Yeah, the film's just the adaption of the novel by Anna Gavalda. I'm reading it in French because I got it for my birthday, but I'm so slooooow. It's practically been lying around in my room since May, because there are times when I don't read anything at all, and then there are times when I read a lot in a very short time. Staccato reading, so to say. *g* So, yeah, I found the film a little blah in comparison to the book, which is quite sweet and has somewhat more depth than the film. It'll never be among my favourite books, though.

Aw, man, you were my hope. ;___;

My parents saw it and they say it was sort of brilliant, but I had homework to do so I couldn't to with them. WOE. I did get to see a movie directed by Canet, though, so oh well.

You know the movie didn't even come anywhere near me, I don't even know if it will yet. Probably next year? And the film Canet directed hasn't come here either, I hate that these great films never get here but blockbuster crap is released all the time.

I have the biggest crush on Canet, he was especially fabulous in Joyeux Noel.

Well, it was only shown for two days, in this kick ass french cinema festival. And whenever you do get to see Canet's film, I do recomend it - he's there for like, five seconds, but the rest of the film is so intriguing that you end up not caring, lol.

Oh, me too. I adored him in Joyeux Noel, but didn't really recognize him until Jeux d'enfants. He looks soooo good on that one.

You know, they had a French film festival last year as well, but I completely forgot to check out what movies were playing. I know La Vie En Rose played there. I've heard great things about his film.

Oh I really liked Jeux d'enfants, but I must admit that I didn't enjoy the ending. I absolutely adore Marion Cotillard, I think she is absolutely precious and together they were just such a gorgeous couple.
