Well half of my flist is watching SPN (lucky wenches, you all) but anyway.

I've always marveled at the way songs can give a bit of synesthesia, how they can bring forward such a bright memory or idea - or even a color or a word. I love that. So in that way, both 505 by Artic Monkeys and As Above, So Below by Klaxons are the beach in my mind, the trip to Manzanillo last summer and listening to them in the dark right before going to bed, limbs sprayed out because the fan wasn't enough to keep the heat at bay. Walking With a Ghost by Tegan and Sara is nighttime in my city, riding the bus at dark in the rain and watching the colorful neon signs downtown.

Rebellion (Lies) by Arcade Fire is The Black Donnellys, Tommy setting out to save his family; Feeling Good by Muse is the Tenth Doctor, right after regenerating. Am I Wry? No by Mew is complete freedom. Fotosíntesis by Zoé is Remus and Sirius surging against each other, fucking for the first time. Soñé, also by Zoé, is crying in the cinema - pure love. Homesick by Slut is writing non-stop about a band trying to survive in France. Lucy in the Sky With Diamons will always be Lucy, the first ever found Australopithecus, which was the first time ever I heard about the song (the arqueologists that found her were listening to it at that moment. Talk about feedback).

It doesn't have anything to do with lyrics or music, just about important moments for me. I don't get this kind of association with everything I hear, but I wish I did, I certainly love it.

One of my roommates has synesthesia! She sees numbers and letters in color.

yeah, something similar happens to me too.

Although I also tend to come up with random music videos/dance routines in my head.

"505" is such an evocative song.
