After seeing ep 3x07 of Bones:
You know, I never was that girl, the one that likes the popular guy in high school.
In high school, I said. In junior high, though, I was nuts for the cutest guy in school. I was in first grade, and he, of course, was in the third one. (aka right before high school. If you find that crazy, believe me, I find the US system a whole lot crazier) His name was Jordy. He was, God, so incredibly handsome. Like, REALLY, handsome. And life, well, life is weird. Because three years later, I was classmates in Japanese class with his little brother. Said brother is not as cute as Jordy (few people could be, really), but he was still super super cute and tall and (what his brother wasn't) incredibly nice and smart... And three years younger than me.
*headdesk* We even went to high school together, although I was a senior when he was a freshman. I made an ass out of myself the first day I met him (at the Japanese department anual party), in which I went OMG YOUR BROTHER'S SO HOTTTT I SO WANTED TO BANG* HIM DURING JUNIOR HIGH!!! And he was. Well, he was a bit scared. Can't say I blame him.
But the subject in hand: That was junior high. But in high school? I found the popular boys repulsive (and I went to one of the preppiest private catholic schools in my city - it was like an everyday, on-going popularity contest) and stayed the heeeell away from them. Instead, and ever since, I've always liked odd ducks - funny guys, if cute then on the interesting side of cute, and, mostly, smart guys. I'm turned on by brains like nobody's business.
(remember that affair a couple years back when I had a gigantic crush in a classmate in my original writing class? I liked him mostly because oh man, but the boy could write.)
AAAAAND there you go, a bunch of personal stuff you probably never asked for. But now you can like, say you know me better, or whatever. UM. ALSO I STILL HAVEN'T WATCHED TORCHWOOD. Mostly because the OMG WHAT in the cuts in my flist has made me WARY.
*Okay, so maybe not. I'm a november baby, so I've always been a year younger than my classmates in school (but I already knew how to write and read perfectly at five and my 6-year-old classmates couldn't so there) so at that time, I was, oh, ELEVEN. I totally did want him to hold my hand, though.

But since then I've always liked guys who were mostly smart & funny & interestingly cute. But they have to be nice for me to like them & most POPULAR guys aren't nice so...
TORCHWOOD. I knew what was coming & IT DIDN'T HELP. I'm still very broken.

Ok, that was bad.
OH, RIGHT, AND HARRY'S IS SEMI-ALIVE IF YOU DIDN'T HEAR.
