Taking advantage of my Hedonistic Wednesday, I went and (finally!) saw The Boondock Saints. And oh wow, I can definitely see the fuzz now. It's just. Wow. I hadn't liked a movie that much in a long while. What lacks in cinematography it has in music score and camera shots and it has these superb little moments, so brilliant, especially thanks to Willem Dafoe. My God, but the man can act. But I just loved it all - the brothers and their messed up moral compass, Rocco and his, well, messed-up-ness, the goofiness in between the carnage. Just. THE LOVE.

And now I'm pumped up for the sequel, oh yeah, and now I won't have to go 'wha--?' whenver my flist talks about this, lol.

The Boondock Saints! Just seeing that title just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside:)

Amo esa película. Es de esas que tienes que ver por lo menos una vez al año. Willem Dafoe es quien me atrajo primero para ver la peli, pero después cai con el resto de los personajes (Rocco y el gato). Una de las top 5 de las cintas con más menciones de la palabra fuck y todas sus variantes. Violencia sin sentido, dialogos geniales, secuencias impresionantes (todas las recreacciones de las escenas del crimen). Yeap. Me la echo este fin de semana de nuevo.

Exacto! Es media ridicula y exagerada pero la misma pelicula no se toma en serio ("la culpa la tiene la television - esto lo ves en television mala" lol), asi que termina siendo genial genial genial. :D :D

Boondock Saints is made of awesome and win. I love the music, it's definitely an annual movie to watch on All Saint's Day!

Oh, glad you enjoyed it! The sequel has been promised since 1999....but since sequels usually fuck up everything good that has been in the original.... /shrugs/

Oh yeah, DD is smthg to remember from the movie. I think when watching it now, you certainly can notice it was made 10 yrs ago...but the boys do everything with flair. And ummmm...their tattoos! :)

DUDE. You seriously hadn't seen it before?! It is so (as you have obvs discovered!) SO SO SO AWESOME. Also, the song at the beginning is one of my absolute favourite bits of film scoring ever.

Now if Troy Duffy can stop being an arse and actually make the damn sequel already, all will be well. :D

P.S. If you want the whole film score, I have it all, like the big nerd I am.
