SAM TYLER WOULD NOT APPROVE.

I made a new iPod cozy today. YAY ME. It is pretty and awesome even if there's some threads visible. XD

I'm going on holiday tomorrow, to Valle de Bravo and other little towns in Michoacan (the former is close to Mexico City, the latter a bit closer to my own state). I've never been, so it should be interesting. I'll try and take pictures if it really is as pretty as they say. :) Anyway, I'm not coming back until, uh, wednesday, I think, which kinda sucks because I have to register for the fall semester on Tuesday at 5pm. ARGH. So I'll have to go search for yet another crummy ciber cafe in there. BAH. STUPID SCHOOL, RUINING MY HOLIDAYS.

I still can't quite get the Who finale out of my mind. EEEER. Me no likes. Say what you want about Last of the Time Lords - it still had some awesome stuff and it wasn't nearly as bleak and depressing as this one. Yesh, stop it with the angst, Team Cardiff. o_O

Sometimes, I wonder what Tennant* thinks of the scripts for the season finales. I mean, every half-witted person can see the finales’ awfulness, but Tennant – he’s a fan. He adores Who and must have favorite eras and companions (and be sworn to secrecy about them) just like anybody else. So, I wonder what goes through his mind when he reads the scrips – is it “oh, God, I’m playing fucking Tinkerbell this week,” or “holey moley, this doesn’t make any sense whatsoever,” or “ZOMG I MIGHT GET TO SCORE WITH MY BELOVED FIVE’S DAUGHTER, SCREW THE PLOT,” or, and I hope not, “GOSH, THIS IS BRILLIANT.”** UM.

Dunno. I do hope he bares all when his tenure ends. Something like ME AND WHO: A HISTORY would be laughable but appreciated.

*Not so much Eccleston because aside from having gotten the less noxious finale, he isn’t a hardcore fan, and probably went “oh, here’s the pepper pot. I wonder what’s for lunch,” when the Dalek was first rolled into the set instead of stroking it and fanboying like the rest of the crew (like Tennant did. Aside from insisting on getting inside one and from stealing some extra’s Gallifreyan hairdress, and that tells everything.)

**Such being RTD’s thoughts.

Meanwhile, what is the best part of being internet-less for so much fucking time? Why, that I am KICK ASS at Minesweeper again, of course. :D :D :D

Photobucket

HELL YEAH, BABY.

(Er, sorry if it's too large. I forgot to resize at home and, of course, there's no photoshop in this crummy ciber cafe.)

Tennant is the only reason I can stand the Tenth Doctor most of the time. Because the whole way through S2, he came off as a jerk who didn't really care about anyone but Rose. In S3 he also came off a jerk a lot of the time who didn't care about anyone but Rose. He did grow up a lot in S4 but he still had his moments where I wanted to slap him really, really hard.

It makes me sad because he has all this potential to be an awesome, awesome Doctor and yet with RTD's ship of TWU WUV it fucked up more often than not.

Really, the only reason I love Ten as much as I do is because sometimes, David gets this look like he's giving it absolutely everything and I can't help but fall for that.

In Silence In The Library/Forest Of The Dead, I loved Ten more than I have in a while. He had hints of become Oncoming Storm!Ten rather than the Lonley God!Ten that Rusty seems to want to push on us. I have high hopes for S5 if David stays for it - which, I'm really hoping he will.

/unrequested ramble, I have issues.

MINESWEEPER \o/ I suck at it now but, yayz. I commend you *high five*

Agreeing wholeheartedly with above, I sometimes idly imagine any old actor I don't much care for playing Ten, and oh my god I would hate him. But the thing is -- a lot of the time I imagine Tennant must be doing sort of the same thing I do, namely, "Okay, here's today's script of questionable quality; now what under this should the show really actually be saying?" And then he really fiercely goes with that instead. I believe this to be true mostly because most of the time if I manage to get a tingly feeling of joy from an episode, it's cos he does a line or a look just right and the thing the show should be shines through. I'm not sure if I'm actually making a lot of sense here, but ... Okay, today I rewatched The Doctor's Daughter, and, mostly, bzuh? But there's the scene where Jenny's insisting the Doctor is a soldier, and Donna tries to prove to him that Jenny's a Time Lord too, and the whole way through he just is wearing this look of quiet horror, and that's actually playing with the subtext in the right way, not doing the ridiculous OMG EXPLOSIONS AND ANGST a la the finales.

And ... thingy. Yeah. By the way I still haven't decided whether I'm a bit squicked or think it's adorable that he might be dating Georgia Moffett. I mean. She looks so much like Peter Davison that either way I can't stop snickering. Fanboy indeed.

“ZOMG I MIGHT GET TO SCORE WITH MY BELOVED FIVE’S DAUGHTER, SCREW THE PLOT,”

I vote for this, if the gossips about them are real I bet he wakes up thinking: OMG Peter Davison is my father in law!!!!!!!! How cool is that??? and then call Mark Gatiss to tell him.

Hahahaha David dating the girl who played Jenny both freaks me out and makes me inappropriately happy because we are the same age, YEAH!

(see, you are not the only one who needs a life)

I, too, would be interested in knowing what he thinks. Because a lot of times I wonder if as an actor his reaction wouldn't be, "Seriously? SERIOUSLY?"

Do you want me to ask? *points to icon and goes into "OMGONEWEEK!!!11! mode*

XD

I think Tennant is well aware of how crappy the scripts are, but enjoys being the Doctor too much to leave.

In John Simm's case, when asked about his performace in s3, he simply says something along the lines of "RTD made me do it...". Maybe it's the same with Tennant :P

As for him dating Georgia Moffet... I can't help thinking about Tennant going into fanboy mode during family lunches or such. Haha.

Have a great holiday!
