Saturday was really awful. As in, really, really awful, cry-my-eyes-out awful. It's all my parent's fault, with a touch of me being about 12 rather than 20 years old and watching my brother look so young. God. Don't really want to talk about it, I'm just glad it's over.
That same day I went to see Paranoid Park. It's really good, but somewhat slow, like all of Gus Van Sant's movies, and really, it's a tad overrated. Still, it has lovely music, and, more than anything, it's a portrait of teenage apathy. So, good movie, spectacularly bad time to see it. Bah.
Anyway, in a happier note, The Ultimates 2 blew my mind. MAN. It's even better than the first arc, mostly because it took things so far, and I loved every minute of it. Reaaaad it, I promise you won't regret it - this is all that Civil War intended to be (meaning: mature, morally-grey, and painfully realistic), without all of the icky stupidity and Awful!Bithtastic!Entitled!Tony Stark. (I hated the Cap first. Civil War made me get attached to him, strangely enough. Civil War also made me hate Tony with a deep passion. Thank God for the movie, or I wouldn't have found out about how awesome he usually is in the comics.)
I also watched Eureka's first season, and liked it loads, even if it's not the greatest thing ever. That thing about Stark Industries, especially, made me giggle a lot, haha. :D
