If something called Antivirus XP 2008 pops up, don't click on it! It's a virus. And boy, do I know it. ;____; My beloved laptop is with the computer doctors right now, getting reprogrammed, but hopefully it'll be done by tomorrow morning. And hopefully I won't lose everything I've designed over the last two years. And everything I've ever written. AAAAH. My brother was, apparently, gullible enough to belive it WAS an antivirus. *cries*
In writing news, I HAVE REACHED THE APOCALYPSE. WHOO HOO! After about 5000 words though. ER. So this will probably be about, oh, 7000 words? THE MONSTER.
Instead of reading (and crying at the awfulness of) Breaking Dawn, I stayed up reading Tim/Kon DCU 60000 words long fic in which Bruce bitches at Clark for wanting to make out with Lex not ten seconds into seeing him and in which Tim calls Dick from a plane bathroom panicking because he thinks his in-law might probably kill him. LOL. Good times, good times.
I saw The Mummy 3 (the one with the long and pedantic name) yesterday. It was... really bad. Like. Really. Um. Part of the fault was the stupid cinema's policy of dubbing (it's a PG movie? ONLY GET IT DUBBED, YAY! - We'd already payed when we found out. Damn. If it only it wasn't so cheap and so close to home.). I hadn't seen such awful, corny dubbing in a long time. And then the plot made no sense and the romance felt forced and the CGI was ridiculous and there was almost nothing of the charm of the first two. Oh, and Maria Bello SUCKED as Evy. REALLY, REALLY SUCKED. Rachel Weisz was so lucky in turning down the role, but at the same time, the movie wouldn't have sucked so much if she'd been involved. SIGH.
And it's SAD, because the canon and the idea of it is actually rather awesome - Rick and Evy as super spies in the World War II! Getting horribly bored by proper English countriside life! Alex being as dashing and smart-mouthed as his parents! It's just that the execution was just so damned crummy... Bah.

En secretito, pero ahorita que estas toda fan de comics este fic te va a agradar, vas a ver. ;D

I was almost EXCITED about it. It didn't look THAT awful in the trailers/teasers/whatever. BAH. It's so sad. And yeah, the chemistry is not there at all, mostly because you KNOW it isn't Evy, so it feels like Rick is, dunno, cheating on her or something. WANT ME TO TELL YOU THE SPOILERY THING THAT MADE ME GO 'OH HELL NO, YOU DIDN'T'?? IT'S REALLY LOLTASTIC, I PROMISE.

OHOH TELL ME!
(Pssst, was John Hannah good at least because, he can never be bad, the world would implode or something.)

Yeah, he was good. Still, even his act got a bit annoying by the end, even if he WAS the funniest thing in the movie.
There were - wait for it - YETIS. YES. PLURAL. YETIS. AND THEY HELP THE O'CONNELLS. BECAUSE THEY'RE JUST THAT TENDER HEARTED. *HEADDESK*
