You don't over there? Not every bus stops at every bus stop, so one kinda waves at them to let the driver know you want to get in.

they need to stop if you're at the bus station. if the line stops there, that is. But most buses that drive a certain road stop at those stations. They never stop if its not a part of their route.
Some buses ALWAYS stop anyway, even when there s noone standing and noone pressed the button you need to press if you want to get off.

weird how these little things can make a difference
