OH MY HEART, MY SHOW IS BACK!
Supernatural 4x01 - Lazarus Rising: OH MY GOD THAT WAS SO GOOD, A;LSKJDFLSKJF. Good in the levels it hadn't reached since like, S2!
The first ten minutes where pure awesomecakes, visually and storywise, so well constructed. The show has never been good at outright scary, but it's good at creepy, or disturbing - the recurring theme with the flickering television and radio (very Life on Mars, haha) was superb. And THEN. THEY SAW EACH OTHER AGAIN. AND THEY HUGGED. WHILE NEITHER OF THEM WAS DYING. A THERE WERE MISTAKEN FOR A COUPLE YET AGAIN, AHAHAHA AND IT WAS PRECIOUS AND WONDERFUL AND AMAZING. YES. And Dean seeing Bobby again was pure win, too, hee.
And then! Plot happened! And it was fantastic! Demons, and Ruby being back (!!) and Sam's AWESOME NEW POWERS OF EXORCISM and Sam and Dean trying to like, protect each other from each other's ISSUES and ZOMG THE ANGEL. Wasn't expecting that, and it ROCKED and it had GOOD special effects, well what do you know.
JUST. I HADN'T BEEN THIS EXCITED ABOUT SPN SINCE, OH MAN, PROBABLY MYSTERY SPOT? And that was a fluke? Because if you get down to it I didn't like S3 all that much? BUT THIS. MY FAITH, IT HAS BEEN RESTORED!!

ugh, word to everything you said. i'm so excited to see where this is going. the gay innuendo will never get old, and i don't think kripke will ever get tired of throwing it in there, or at least i hope not. it's too awesome.

The gay innuendo was getting a bit Too Much during S2, but considering the circumstances and everything, it worked like a charm, lol.
