Yesterday was SO AWESOME and I'll post about it under flock in a bit, but first! IT IS BOND TIME!
Yes, so I just got back from watching Quantum of Solace, and it was amazing! Then again, I love most Bond movies, ever since I was little. It's got a very different feel than Casino Royale, which fits this heartbroken, emotionally broken Bond perfectly, and it's so very nice to have continuity in these movies (finally!) after twenty odd completely disjointed films. I have to say, I love this new 21st century Bond - it's gone very The Bourne Identity, yes, but you can't do a spy movie nowadays and not have some of the same gritty, realistic feel. BUT I APPROVE.
The song! Uh, I didn't like it much. I JUST found out it's actually Jack White and Alicia Keys (WHA-?) but all I heard was sort of screeching. Eek. And while, yeah, the graphics were pretty, I was expecting more after Casino Royale's ORGASMICLY FANTASTIC opening, which was smart and amazing and so very NOW and didn't feature any naked women. SIGH. My favorite Bond song, though, is The World is Not Enough, which made me start fangirling Garbage. ♥
The action scenes were fantastic, and nnnng, I love how Daniel Craig moves. Just. The way he sort of has such control of his body? YES I'M OBSESSED, WHATEVER. Also, that man can look hot in white pants like very, very few men can. So yes, he looks hardcore while fighting! And climbing! And shooting! Of which he does a lot.
M was fantastic, as usual - The Bond franchise got lucky as hell when they got Judi Dench on board. Now, the Bond girls! I sort of, um, have a bit of a crush on Gemma Arterton, so I found her adorable as Strawberry Fields, and that homage to old school!Bond was neat if a bit, well, weird. But! Camille I found fantastic! Just as emotionally stunted as Bond and sort of grouchy and how much I loved that she went to the most important fight in her life in chucks and a loose white shirt? Dunno, I just liked her a lot, steretypical background and all.
Confession! I've only seen Casino Royale once, in the cinema, so I spent a long time being sort of confused about the plot and wondering who the hell where those people. That calls for rewatch, I say! And then I'll probably like it even better.

Bong girl hair! I hadn't thought about it but yes, it does look like Field's, haha. You should try that second hairdo of hers, it would look great on you. :)
