I watched The Ruby in the Smoke today. It's not genius, but it was good, and the music was brilliant. I might still have issues with Rose*, but Billie Piper I've always adored, so it was nice to see her in something different. Also, this makes it clear that Matt Smith is absolutely adorable in everything. MY HIGH HOPES FOR ELEVEN, LET ME SHOW YOU THEM. So yeah, it was nice, even if the plot was... questionable and had weird pacing. The costumes were lovely, though.
Also, Matt Smith looks fantastic in full Victorian regalia. GO VICTORIAN, DOCTOR, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO. Ten, Nine and Eight are all in the comics right now, right? (which I should read. One of these days.) Maybe seeing himself as Eight again brings back fond memories of cravats? That'd be awesome. :3

I've been reading Merlin fic like crazy for the past few days. Good times, all around.
*I've been softening on my stand on Rose as of lately, dunno why. Natural process in Who? Remembering all the companions fondly and going 'oh, she was so awesome' and ignoring the dodgy stuff and the annoying melodrama and the batshit fans?

No sé si es que por un rato me volví bastante militante con Martha/Doctor, y ahorita, al igual que a ella, ya se me pasó un poco, pero me acuerdo que veía esas horribles manips y demás y me daban ganas de golpear gente, y ahorita pues nada más digo EW QUE HORRIBLE MANIP, QUE MAL GUSTO y loleo un poco. Pero si, me acuerdo de Rose y pienso en S1 Rose, o en Rose en S4 cuando era fuerte y demás antes de salir corriendo hacia al Doctor como en película cursi. Eso prefiero ignorarlo, thank you very much.

It's weird, I haven't seen the movie, and yet I'm rather fond of Eight. HUH.
Ahaha, I've watch the video diaries about a bazillion times, and they haven't stopped being funny. OH, MERLIN. I soooo can't wait for the episode commentaries. :3

The movie is fun, though a bit odd. Eight is the very best part of it. I'm working my way (very slowly) through the EDAs and BF audios and they've increased my love of Eight exponentially.
And the video diaries! I just giggle thinking about them! I didn't know there were episode commentaries to come! *GLEE*
