Well, I am glad that you enjoyed it, I really am. I felt like hitting things. XD I loved the mutiny episodes, but other than that, I prefer pretending the last ten episodes never happened, hahaha. Nevertheless, I miss my show, and I think I'd like to rewatch it from the start. When it was good, it was AWESOME.

I don't know, I've heard that all over the place, so I was quite worried about the finale, but I honestly don't think it was that bad, not enough to jump ship and hate the show forever, as many people in my flist are doing.

I don't actually buy that they everyone would just agree to go back to living and caves and erase all of their culture for good, and that last scene witht the robots was horrible, but the battle in the colony was pretty epic and I did shed some tears, so. Don't know. I do wish we'd gotten to know just what exactly Kara was, though.

I thought it was full of plot holes and inconsistencies (I suspect the writers forgot to rewatch S2 and Kobol before writing the whole mess about the second Earth or whatever), and they murdered Roslin, Lee and Kara's character development in ways that made me furious. I liked what they did with the Sharons and with Hera, I liked the bittersweet ending for Baltar (who finally learnt some humility!) and Caprica leaning their part in the prophecies, and finally finding each other and having to live with what they had done. But Kara's whole storyline in particular was a huge cheat, as was the decision to erase all of their culture: it was a slap in the face, simplistic and embarrassing when all of the show was about colective responsibility, about trying to rebuild something when all was lost. To just give up, and to present that as a happy ending? Coupled with shady references to colonialism and your average technology bad, nature good moralising that was completely at odds with the tone of the show? The battle, as you say, was pretty cool, but I just felt that the final half hour failed in every possible way and it made me very bitter about a show that I adored. :(
