Well, I'm back in Mexico, tired and missing the boy already quite a bit but all right. It was a lovely holiday; it was, of course, great to see him, but it was also amazing to be back in England and Leeds still feels a little bit like home. We also went to Coventry so I could meet his parents (which are really nice! Thankfully.) and to York 'cause I'd never been and it's a really pretty town. The boy has a rather irrational hatred of London, so we didn't spend as much time there, sadly, as it is one of my favorite cities in the world. Though seeing how cranky he gets in there, it was probably for the best (one day, though. One day I'll drag him shopping in Oxford St. Then again he might snap).

I also got to meet his childhood friends, which meant I heard a lot of stories going like 'omg, remember when we pissed into that store when we were drunk at 16? or the time I puked on someone's driveway?' young males can be really utterly disgusting at times, ew.

I also watched the new Doctor Who!* The first episode, I missed the second one but have acquired it already. It was awesome! It's so nice to have new blood in the show, it desperately needed it, and I'm quite fond of both Eleven and Amy already. It was a refreshing change, I'd say, and I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season. :D

*The boy sighed and went to sleep after realizing he couldn't sway me from the Who, and then kept his (very obvious) opinions to himself the next morning, which was rather smart of him, if he wanted me to not bitch forever about him making me watch the stupid football with him. And the bloody masters golf cup. Ugh.

Don't even get me started on the Masters tournament. I live here. Traffic was so bad on the road the National is on that it took 45 minutes to go SEVEN MILES.

*disgruntled*

Ugh, that does sound horrible. It isn't even an entertaining sport, can't see what's the big deal about it.

Golf is such a weird, pointless sport. SIGH.

Thanks! :D

Hahahaha, my boyf was equally unimpressed - I said to him "Doctor Who was AMAZING last night!" and he replied, "Really? I don't think it was." He hadn't even watched it, the Rain-on-my-parade-type person.

And isn't York GORGEOUS? My bro is at uni there, and I love it. :D

Haha, my boy tried to snuggle close and distract me, and I kept on pushing him away saying I'M BUSY. THIS IMPORTANT. silly boys, not getting the high and deep meaning of the good old blue box show.

It is! I loved the little pretty alleyways with all the timber houses and cute shops. Really wanted to do the viking museum thingy, but the line was hella long and filled with noisy children (actually, everywhere was filled with noisy children. School holidays, I guess), so ah well. I can see that it'd be a pretty nice place to live in. :)

AAAH NEW WHO. I am enjoying it hugely! I am sorry that your Boy does not enjoy Who -- thankfully mine does, or I would threaten him until he did -- but at least he has the good sense to keep his opinions somewhat to himself? ;)

Lol, well he DID mutter a bit before sleeping, and then rolled his eyes a lot, but at least he didn't point out the obvious shitty cgi, so there's a plus! Aw, you guys have Who night dates? that's cute. :3 He joins the companion wank as well? cause that'd be funny.

Hee, sometimes! We watched all of S4 together, I think, which was nice. :) :)

... Admittedly, even *I* sometimes point out the obvious shitty cgi ... hopefully there will be less of that with Moffat, though! We can hope!

Oh, I always cringe a bit at the cgi. Love the show, but seriously, models might work better instead.
