Well, I'm back in Mexico, tired and missing the boy already quite a bit but all right. It was a lovely holiday; it was, of course, great to see him, but it was also amazing to be back in England and Leeds still feels a little bit like home. We also went to Coventry so I could meet his parents (which are really nice! Thankfully.) and to York 'cause I'd never been and it's a really pretty town. The boy has a rather irrational hatred of London, so we didn't spend as much time there, sadly, as it is one of my favorite cities in the world. Though seeing how cranky he gets in there, it was probably for the best (one day, though. One day I'll drag him shopping in Oxford St. Then again he might snap).
I also got to meet his childhood friends, which meant I heard a lot of stories going like 'omg, remember when we pissed into that store when we were drunk at 16? or the time I puked on someone's driveway?' young males can be really utterly disgusting at times, ew.
I also watched the new Doctor Who!* The first episode, I missed the second one but have acquired it already. It was awesome! It's so nice to have new blood in the show, it desperately needed it, and I'm quite fond of both Eleven and Amy already. It was a refreshing change, I'd say, and I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season. :D
*The boy sighed and went to sleep after realizing he couldn't sway me from the Who, and then kept his (very obvious) opinions to himself the next morning, which was rather smart of him, if he wanted me to not bitch forever about him making me watch the stupid football with him. And the bloody masters golf cup. Ugh.

It is! I loved the little pretty alleyways with all the timber houses and cute shops. Really wanted to do the viking museum thingy, but the line was hella long and filled with noisy children (actually, everywhere was filled with noisy children. School holidays, I guess), so ah well. I can see that it'd be a pretty nice place to live in. :)

at least he didn't point out the obvious shitty cgi
... Admittedly, even *I* sometimes point out the obvious shitty cgi ... hopefully there will be less of that with Moffat, though! We can hope!
