Wow, what a wonderful story. It has this disconnected kind of calm, but there is a lot more underneath.

I love the way Sam cling to the name 'Dean', and remember the little things like the fries. And I think it's fitting that Dean is the one that caved in the end because he just can't deny Sam anything.

English is not my first language, so I hope I made sense. Just want to say I love your story.

Aw, thank you so much! And you mentioned JUST what I was aiming for, that dettachment with a side order of angst. :D And yep, no way Dean would ever deny Sam anything. He's just not wired like that.
