How is it that Twilight always has such amazing sountracks when everything else related to the ~saga~ or whatever it calls itself now is so much shit?

They must pay them such a shitload of money. I mean, for even Thom Yorke of all people to be there? Ugh. ;____; That said though, the new song Muse did for Eclipse is so bad. So, so bad. TWILIGHT HAS STARTED CORRUPTING PEOPLE IN THEIR SOUNDTRACKS, NOOOO.

It's really kind of amazing in a terrible, terrible way. The only explanation I have for it is, um, Kristen Stewart and Nikki Reed and Anna Kendrick and maybe even to some extent Robert Pattinson and Catherine Hardwick on the first one being involved with the Twilight movies -- but then that leads me to wondering, as one does, why the fuck so many otherwise/previously smart-seeming people got involved with the Twilight movies. Besides the, you know, the money. I'd probably sell out too for however much money they've made off it.

It's DEFINITELY the money. Everyone acts fairly all right in other movies, but everyone in that movies acted horribly, horribly bad. And Kristen Stewart had exactly one facial expression during the movie. Then again, Bella is a good for nothing with one facial expression, so.

That has to be A LOT of money, though, I'd find it embarassing to be related with that kind of crap film. Ah well.

I don't blame Kristen for not even bothering with Bella. Clearly the target audience doesn't give a fuck if she can't act, and I don't think it's even possible to make Bella compelling without completely changing the course of the plot. I've said it a couple times before, I think, but when I was watching Twilight, I actually enjoyed Kristen's Bella for about as long as I could pretend it was one of Kristen's sullen teenage characters instead, i.e. until Edward showed up.

Yeah. Clearly Robert doesn't take it any of it seriously, though, and I choose to believe neither do the girls, because I do hold them in high esteem apart from this particular set of movies.

Hopefully! It'd always been wonderful because they wouldn't compromise. SIGH.

If only Stephenie Mayer didn't insist so much on them being their personal writing muse or whatever. (oh hallo thar bad pun!). I'm surprised My Chemical Romance hasn't appeared in there!
