(no subject)

I've been reading Arthur/Eames Inception fic non-stop for the last few days. It's been a nice time, except for the fact that I'm not supposed to be reading Arthur/Eames Inception fic, I'm supposed to be looking for a job.

I really hate my avoiding tendencies in the face of things that unsettle me. And yet, I keep on doing it. Ugh.

OH GOD, you have no idea how much I relate. I have been doing the exact same thing lately! Except, instead of looking for a job I'm supposed to be doing papers, etc., which ... yeah. Not getting done.

*sympathetic hugs for avoidance tendencies*

Seriously, someone needs to shut down the Inception fandom for a week so we can all get some work done.

I do this ALL the time. Anything that scares me, or upsets me, or makes me nervous? DOESN'T EXIST TRA-LA-LA-LA LET'S DO SOMETHING ELSE. I really dislike it, but I can't seem to help it. UGH, ME.

Haha, nooooo, what would I do without my fic therapy? XD

Mmm, good idea. It's not so much that, though, it's more that I'm nervous about the jobhunting process, so I'm sort of ignoring it. UGH, ME.

jobhunting is really stressful. :(

Maybe you can check if there are staffing agencies in your area? They look primarily for office work, but they can give you a good start in the job arena.

Also, if you're not familiar with a company, and a position sounds pretty good, almost too good? Search for their name and see if there's a hiring scam related to that company (I'm not sure what's the word for "scam" in Spanish). Some companies are fake and just use your information for who knows what, or they have jobs that are pretty much a scam (a "marketing position" is selling oil on a picnic table at a gas station and you barely get enough money to cover anything).
