There's something so fascinating about Prince William's engagement (and the media coverage), even if logically I know that royals in this time and day are pointless.

BUT who wasn't a 12 year old girl that wanted a prince (one at the peak of his hotness before he got BALD) to fall in love with her and make her a ~princess~? DON'T DENY IT, YOU GUYS, YOU WERE TOTALLY THAT GIRL TOO. Of course if for example the boy turned out to be a prince or whatever (lol, fervent monarchy abolitioner that he is) I'd get the hell out of there. But that 12 year old girl in me is going AWWW, MAN.

(It's not like I didn't have other expectations in my life, I mean, I wanted to be a paleontologist and stuff, but I wouldn't have said no to a HOT PRINCE. Just saying.)

SO TRUE. I still secretly kind of want to be a princess.

Okay, so the whole "have to marry a prince" part of the process really does not appeal to me now that I am no longer twelve, but I would still very much like to live in a castle. That part would still be fun!

Yeah, as a grownup it doesn't sound very appealing at all (all those flashes when they were giving the announcement? holy crap, that must be awful, and that's every day), but I still wouldn't mind to live in lovely palaces and go for walks in my massive estates with my 1000x dogs and wear really pretty puffy dresses and get to travel the world and eat good food. That makes me sound like I'm STILL 12, lol.

Unlike the daydreaming about your future wedding thing, which people never believe me but I honestly have never felt the need to do, this -- yeah, this applies to me. It's still a trope I love in fiction, even! I'm a sucker for that stuff, I just can't help it.

THIS to everthing! I still make up silly stories about princes and stuff (even though I'd never share them because, wow, the clicheness of it). I used to daydream that I would work as a waitress or stuff in London and he'd meet me and he wouldn't care that I was a ~commoner~. LOL, TINY ME.

I never fantasized about my future wedding. Never, I never thought it was that appealing.

I agree with this. Who doesn't want to marry into royalty? I'm so thrilled for them, honestly, though. I've been following his life since his mom died (not obsessively but just keeping tabs every now and then), and I think he and Kate make a lovely couple. Best wishes to them!

At this time of my life, I sooo wouldn't want to marry into royalty, but as a idea, it sounds just really cool. I think she's a really nice girl, and it annoys me how people continously compare her to Diana. Jeez, all that 'omg she's trying to wear the same thing as his mum!!' when it's actually something completely different and just maybe in a similar shade. Er.

I don't doubt that she wants to marry him, but ever since they broke up and got back together I have this feeling that William didn't want to spend another 10 years grooming another girl for the part. I don't know, I hope it isn't so, I do want them to be happy.

I'm a fervent monarchy abolisher as well, and yet I watched the whole 17-minute interview AS IT AIRED on BBC xD

What's more, a couple of weeks ago I spent all afternoon watching the most ridiculous mini-series about how Felipe and Letizia (the heir to the throne of Spain and his wife) met, got engaged and such. My friend and I were mesmerized by it and just couldn't stop watching :P

Ahaha, I saw it in yahoo early in the morning and the first thing I did was run to check the gossip on ONTD! XD I guess it's just that 'celebrity' status most royals have, even if you know they're sucking a country's economy dry. But they're so ENTERTAINING, omg.

Ahaha, Felipe and Letizia are SO POPULAR in here! It helps that Hola has then in every other issue doing something or other. Letizia spent like, a semester or something in my city while in uni (and used that time to be on the cover of a very trashy, very lame Mana album, suenos liquidos, you should totally google that), and people try to make her out to be an ~honorary Mexican~ lol.

He was so FINE until he started losing his hair. He still looks EATABLE with a hat on, though, lol. That's the thing though, NO ONE expected the funny ginger one to end up being the hot one. OH HOW THE TIMES CHANGE.

Oh man, I love reading stuff about royals. They're so crazy but enteraining! And I can spend ages looking up wikipedia pages for royals dead a few hundred years ago. OH ME.
