Thank youuuu! details are like, everything to me.

gasp!! We shall be the triumvirate of Evil Angstiness!! Not only that -- the international triumvirate of Evil Angstiness! We slay our audience not in one language, but three!
... and now I must go eat chocolate and drink coffee to restore normalcy to my sanity (I think it was a bit touched by the end of my latest Faulkner novel...)
Oh, you are always fabulous with details and it makes me envious! Again, brilliant job, love ♥

Dude, we can be the ITEA!!!! Armed with languages and imagery, highly dangerous. May cause incontrolable sniffling.
Hey, is Faulkner really any good? I've wanted to read something of his for ages...

Or maybe we could brew Evil!Tea. I'm up for that. Earl Angst, Dar-crying, Boohoolong...
Faulkner is... debatable. He has good elements and he has good social commentary. But mostly his plots and characters confuse the hell out of me. :(

Really? Mmm, I'll have to find myself something a bit lighter then. I'm up to my neck with deeeep books in spanish.

Ohhh if you want something light, I would highly recommend Dave Eggers' A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius. It's angst done with comedy. Brilliant. (it's his memoirs about how, when he was 22, both of his parents died of cancer six months apart and he had to raise his eight-year-old brother on his own). I got to meet Dave last Spring at a reading and I was greatly impressed by his sense of humor. Nice guy, really :)

First: the all ocasion word that doesn't go into the somber Mother insult: Chingada. chi-n-ga(as in gag)-da(as in data). Nice word. I say it aaaall the time.
Comedy? with such a hell of a life? now I'm intrigued...

And it sounds like a fun word to say :-D I use the French "zut" allll the time because it's so fun to say, haha. "Merde" is a bit hard to roll off the tongue, though.
Yeah! He's one hell of a funny guy. It has some pretty deep stories behind it, but it's an easy read. And he's young, too, so that shows :)

Ohh, Zut sounds so pretty, what does it mean? The japanese mild swaring words always make me laugh, since Ahou (moron) is pronounces just like garlic in spanish, and Baka (stupid) is just like Vaca, wich means cow XDDDD
You're studying chinese, right? any cool swear words?

"Zut" (pronounced "Zoot") really just means "damn." There's a phrase the French use to strengthen it -- "Zut, zut, et zut!" -- and it's just SO funny to hear actual French people say, lol. It makes you think of short little angry Napoleon or something.
I haven't actually gotten to studying any Chinese yet -- will do so either after my Spring Break (when I find an adequate program and when most of my schoolwork is completed), or during the summer. I will let you know, though, if I learn anything good ;)
