OH, WHO, I DO LOVE YOU. PLEASE DON'T EVER LEAVE AGAIN.

Doctor Who 6x00 - A Christmas Carol: One of my favorite things about Doctor Who, and especially in this past season, is the sheer childlike wonder it gives, how it's all so dreamy and lovely and everything, absolutely everything is possible. ♥ And there was SO MUCH of it in this episode! Starting by the little fishies swimming by the lamp post, and the Christmas Eves of fun and dorkyness, and the ghosts of past, present and future done with actual timey-wimey goodness (I do love how Moffat remembers the TARDIS is also a time machine), with some added more adult sexyness of 50s Hollywood poolside noirness and Amy and Rory's kinky dress up honeymoon!

It was so so much fun. Also, Eleventy should probably keep a kid as a permanent companion. He's SO GOOD with children, haha, possibly because he pretty much is one himself, and I loved how the psychic paper refused to call him a certified responsible adult. "Finally a lie too big," indeed! I could have done with some more Amy and Rory, but I guess the story called for it this way.

And just how excited did the trailer get you for series 6? A LOT, THAT'S HOW MUCH. PLZ TO BE APRIL NOW.

It was beautiful and a bit eerie, with the ZOMG SHARK in the kid's bedroom, and then also funny and sweet.

The 50's stuff was so much fun, and the time travel hijinks and Rory and Amy's honeymoon. :D

I looove this show, so much. Would like Series 6 now please.

I'm so so excited for S6 now. :) It was such a relief to like this Christmas episode, after hating the last one (and maybe the one before that too) so much.

I love it when writers remember they have a time machine with endless possibilities in their hands! :D

Eleven ABSOLUTELY needs a kid as a regular companion. On the other hand, I love that Moffat casts actual children to play his children, instead of 20-somethings being young teenagers so the actors don't violate work codes. So, alas, I guess we're stuck with guest-star kids. I appreciate how many kids are on the show now Moff's in charge, though. <3

It'd be SO LOVELY to have a permanent kid on board, and I bet children all over would absolutely adore it, but yeah, it'd be hard on young actors, I suppose. BOO. Can you imagine going forward and seeing Amy and Rory's wacky, wacky kid that gets bribed into eating vegetables by promising s/he can go for a ride with her/his weird uncle the Doctor BUT JUST ONCE OKAY, WE LIKE YOU ALIVE. :D
