I had quite a productive day... (Only, not really.) Moooovies!
What To Do In Case of Fire is an awesome, awesome German movie, whose original name I don't know nor can probably spell, about six anarquists that put a bomb in an abandoned building in the late 80s, and it never goes off. Fast forward twelve years, and they have to see each other again when the bomb goes suddenly off, when four of them already have respectable and capitalist lives.
It has this moments of brilliancy regarding the photography, but the script, the script it's GENIOUS. This was the second time I've seen it, and now I think I love it even more, since OMG but the main characters are just so slashable. *nods* Friendship and time are so well portrayed in it. :) So,
moonix and
haltlos, care to rec me more German movies? *grin*
Then, I saw V for Vendetta, and by God, but I loved it. I've never read the graphic novels, I admit, so maybe that helped. It's just, well, it'd been a long while since any movie had left me so utterly speechless by the time it ended. I adored how they didn't forget the human part at all, but mixed it with the political part and it WORKS, it fits, and gaaaah, but I'm still somewhat incoherent about it.
By the climax of the movie, you get incredibly chilled to the bone, and everything feels so real and plausible, and that's actually somewhat scary. The movie's not perfect, of course, there are some inconsistencies, but if you over look that, then it's wonderful. Definitely one of my favorites :)
Ajem, XD I was recced twice for Exhibitionism! Once in
hogwarts_today and once by
liadlaith! *is insanely happy* :)
I was also watching this really well drawn, kinda stupid show on Cartoon Network, 6teen or something like it, and it made my day when there was boysnoggage! In this teen show! Haha, it was insanely fun XD
Now I'm downloading 'Day Watch', since I looooved Night Watch (and I think I'll be buying it one of this days! Yayz!), and seeing that it hasn't come out in here, I just have to see it! *is excited*

Goodbye Lenin is a film about Eastern Germany and the fall of the Berlin wall, it's quite nice, but also sad.
Love in Thoughts, which you absolutely HAVE TO watch if you get your hands on it somehow - it's so beautiful.
And it has a really hot boykissBeyond Silence is a very touching film about a girl whose parents are deaf... though, honestly, the German version has a better cover. *rolls eyes*
I don't know, if you're more interested in films about the second world war, you might want to see the Downfall with Bruno Ganz, but... hmm. Well those three are films I like, so. :)

I've never heard about the other two, but I'll go look for them! Thanks, sweet.

Eee! Boysnoggage is always such a lovely surprise when you're watching random television. There's really not enough of it out there though. We should start a campaign for more, like Equal Boysnoggage for All Ages or something.
*glomps you* Congratulations on the recs m'dear! You most definitely deserve it! XD
