I stayed up until 4 AM yesterday reading Minx's Reediming Time, because it's just so ADDICTIVE! I adored this fic (R/S, James' POV), so a big, big thank you to [livejournal.com profile] jadis31!!

I was supposed to do a lot of homework today, but my brother dragged me along in the ideotic quest for a Hawthorne Hights CD (my bro's teh EMO!!eleventy! XD only not really), which wasn't as horrible as I'd expected while feeling as shitty as I did. We bonded, he and I. Over him saying he'd steal my car. We are so weird...

But! I've got the new Placebo CD!!!!! I've been listening to it nonstop since I got home, and God, but it's awesome!! Most of the songs are just brilliant, and beautiful and arrrgh, but my Placebo-mania has returned full force XDD (I'm such a bad fan, though, I hadn't even realized the album had been released until, uh, yesterday? O_o) Hopefully they'll come back again... I've missed two concerts of them in here because I wasn't really into them then. *shakes head* And apparently there was slashy action in one of those...

Also, I bought Night Watch on Monday (I fucking love that movie, the subtitles turning into blood made me all incoherent and giddy. :)). So I guess I can go back to being poor right now. XD

Gnaaaah.... Hawthorne Heights is from Dayton, which is, like, twenty minutes from my parents' :-D

Hehe, and here my brother's angsting since not even the cd store employees know who they are XDDD How do you pronounce it, btw? I say it like ho-thorne, but the boy won't listen to me and nobody understands him when he says it.

(I don't like them either.)

I'm still so happy about that. :)

hahah... well, they're not even that popular here yet... maybe been played on MTV a few times, but nothing big. It's pronounced "Hah-thorne Hights," which... let's see. The "Hah" is just like saying "Hahahaha!" and the "e" at the end of thorne is silent, so it's just like the word "thorn." And you say it really fast, it's not like, "Hah...thorne." The stress is placed on the second syllable. And then "Heights" I'm assuming you know how to pronounce, but it rhymes with "tights" just in case :) It's the standard pronunciation of the word "hawthorn," which is a kind of tree. So... now you know. Hahaha.

You could always tell your brother he's definitely on par with most guys here his age 0.o they're all obsessed with HH and stuff like that.

Well, apparently I pronounced the 'thorne' part correctly, but was wrong on the beginning. *shrug* Hehe, I showed my brother your comment since he wanted to know how did I learned it XD Let's just hope he doesn't know how to find my LJ by himself... *shudder*

I thought it'd be hard to find, but it was already almost sold out in the largest CD stores in here XD

UGH I ADORE that movie like you have no idea. And I haven't got a chance to see it, with all of my homework T-T

Oh, I'm glad you liked it. I really do love that story... it's just something I don't think you see too often or that well in fan fic, the actual process of them growing up. The changes, subtle and sometimes hard that go into becoming an adult. When Minx first started talking about that fic, ages and ages ago, when the world was young, she was just thinking about the Prank and how it could work as a catalyst for their changing from the riotous youths of Snape's Worst Memory to the adults capable of fighting that war... and I'll never stop being impressed with how well she really showed that.

Like I said, it's one of my all time favorite fan fics. And it got so much attention when it was written that it just makes me HAPPY to finally find someone who hasn't read it and to whom I could pimp it :D Like I've accomplished something with my life now :D
