I have this coworker that sort of drives me crazy. She's this middle-aged lady that's so absent-minded that never gets anything right, can be so condescening and that has the superbly irritating quality of never shutting up, while managing to never stop talking about herself and/or how god's gift to humanity her oh so fantastical/smart/amazing/kind/marvelous son is. (I've met the kid, and he seems surprisingly well adjusted for having such a mother). It pisses everyone else off at work that she takes all the time off for lunch she wants, she gets to work at the time she wants, and she leaves early whenever she so chooses.

And because she never ever shuts up or talks about anything else but herself, she never remembers stuff about anyone else, and so far she's asked me at least five or six times if 'my mummy cooks for me everyday'.

Jesus Christ lady, do I look like I'm eight fucking years old? I'm your coworker, not the girl you babysit, if I do not go around asking you if your 'mummy and daddy' aren't mad at you for being late everyday, you don't get to talk to me like that either.

UGH. Sometimes she can say such dumb things that it can be amusing, but for the most part we all just avoid her when she goes downstairs for lunch.
