I think the long hiatus made me forget how sort of crap the show is in comparison to the fic. SIGH.

It's not even that the show is bad bad, it's just that every episode I can think of at least ten ways in which fandom could tell that story way better.

Anyway, I was trying to figure out what exactly bugged me from this episode (aside from the obvious lame slow-mo fights and the whole 'OMG DEREK IS DEAAAAD' fakeout that was just pretty much an insult to our intelligence), and I think it was that I was really excited for the 'bus in the traffic jam' episode.

I hadn't read any spoilers about it, but it was featured so much in the promos. It's just such a cool premise, and I really thought they were gonna made it into a school trip turned horror movie trope with the scorching heat and never ending traffic jam and the random creature taking them one by one and terrorizing everyone. So much potential! Such a weird paced episode!

Ah well. Like I said - it wasn't that it was awful, I just keep forgetting the actual show does not equal the show in my mind.

Also, I'm sure the Carver twins are super nice people and stuff, but jesus, they're so unattractive, and I just wish the show would stop trying to make us believe the entirety of Beacon Hills thinks they're sex on legs. Come on. Any of the 'freshmen' (lol) were way hotter than them.

OH YEAH, AND DEREK HASN'T SULKED ANGRILY IN THE MIDDLE OF A FOGGY FIELD IN AGES, WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?
