nekare at 10:13pm on 30/07/2013So, second day at my new job today! Much better than yesterday all around.
I think I was probably just too used to the work environment of my last job, which was a bit more formal, but at the same time, we all got around really well and we joked around and laughed a lot and stuff.
NO ONE talks in the new place. It's so WEIRD. The owners are these two guys that can't be older than 35, a super massively preppy northern guy and a hippie argentinian guy that instead of using his office he just sat right next to me yesterday and worked on that corner. He's nice and stuff, but he's still my boss, it's not that comfortable to have him so close.
Anyway, it's basically a company that takes care of other companies' facebooks, twitters, etc. Which would be lame, but I'm already doing a bunch of illustration and 'funny, meme-style ads' (as was my brief) for them. And it all has to be very youthful and hip, which is cool. Eveything had to go through my previous middle-aged boss at the old job, so even children clothing logos ended up looking like something a middle-aged dude would dig because the man just couldn't get it through his head that his crappy taste wasn't the absolute be-all and end-all.
I do miss my coworkers though. AND I MISS MY CAT. Who woke up early and jumped and played and purred all around me thus leaving me sleepless.
