I don't know if you guys remember, but a while ago, my last writing teacher contacted me to invite me to a reading of short stories in the Government Palace, since this week is the 'International Book Fair'. (not as good or as big as the FIL that happens at november though. that one's HUGE, the largest in latin america, actually.) So, this is the day.

I can't believe I'm so nervous about it... I bet there won't even be that many people around, and my own brother doesn't wanna go (the bugger...), but oh well, let's hope someone important is there, like, say, an editor or a literature magazine compiler. *shifty eyes*

I'm taking for stories: 'De Paso', 'Vía Láctea', 'Paraíso Gris' and 'Déja Vu'. Thing is, they asked me to bring a little resumé, but I've NOTHING TO SAY! Am I supposed to just have: Studied elementary school at blah blah, high school at blah blah and she's only been in college for four months? It should be about my writing, but I only started writing when I was 15, I've never been published anywhere and the only think I've won is a second place. help! what do I write?

I created my username a couple of years ago, when I was still in my phase of fanirl Japanese, and I wanted something that sounded OMG THE COOL ANIME NAME!! It doesn't mean a thing, it's just letters I put together because they sounded pretty, and because I really like names that start with an 'N'. Then I started using it all over the internet, and it kinda stuck, since I hate it when I just can't find people since they use completely different usernames for every single thing.

No one in RL calls me that way, although I've never been that subtle about it (the 2nd place I mentioned? I entered with that pseudonym. I even once sent dad an email from that account by mistake!), and well, I don't mind it because it actually sounds like a name, and people can call me that when they don't know the real one (which is difficult to do when the other one is called, dunno, 'BrianKinneyLoverHe'sSoSexy23'). Besides, Neka sounds cute XD

Btw, I prononce it the way it'd be in Spanish (not quite Japanese pronunciation, either...), so it'd be: Ne-(as in 'neptune'), -Ka- (as in 'can't') -Re (as in 'revolution').
