I just laughed myself sick at that twist at the end of episode 17 of Ouran. OMG I LOVE TAMAKI.
Surprising, considering how generally dull the episode was.

Which reminds me: Cogito ergo proxy, I think therefore next? Maybe it's an ellipsis; Cogito ergo proximus sum, I think therefore I am the next one.
Beside, proxy is afaik not a Latin word, but rather a word derived from Latin.
*shrugs*

That's actually rather interesting, and it kinda matches with some information from ep 6, about what the Proxy actually was (fear not, I won't spoil you).
I'm so glad you're watching this as well, it's great to have someone to talk about it with. :)
I read 'Cry Wold' yesterday and eeeeh, Remy!! Rogue!! So great.

But you've got to wait; Ergo Proxy fansubs suck bandwidth as if there's no tomorrow.
Episode 6? Is exactly what I'll be watching in 5 minutes.
How many are already out? And am I the only one who is going to ship Vincent/Real (Or Lil. Or Liru. Or WHATEVER. I like the Japanese language, but the problem with l/r sucks.)? 'cause, give the poor boy a little bit of independence and courage, and they would be so cute together. By the way, does it only seem this way or is he a competent fighter? I mean, he fought off/escaped from several armed autoslaves, (autoraves. autoreifs. Points to Real.) and is a pretty decent shot with that weird-ass gun of his.
Oh, as for Vincent/Red!Bakemono - I have my theories. None of them spell are all that nice for poor Vince.
Oh, and Puni rocks. Too bad she's too dumb. If there ever was a character which needed a forcefeed injection of Cogito, it's her. And what's with Real's autoslave? He seems pretty autonomous; too autonomous, if you get what I mean.

Of course not! I kinda shipped them since the first episode, and ooooh, ep 6 is so good for them as a ship (you'll see what I mean). I think I'll stick with Real, you'll see why. And oh Vincent is one hell of a fighter, I forgot to tell you earlier, watch the first episode again, it makes much more sense after you're a bit ahead, and Vincent has a killer (pun intended) fight scene.
Mmm, theories. Yum. I kinda spoiled myself while looking for some info earlier, but it's not really that hard to guess - you're probably right. And yep, poor Vincent will, indeed, need a hug.
About Pino, again, go back a bit, too, uh, ep 2, I think. She kneels. Oooh, I hadn't thought about Iggy in that light, it's quite possible, considering how open and friendly he/it/whatever is. *ponders*

Which reminds me: A proxy is also someone who acts for another - maybe the proxies are some kind of marionettes? Directed by the subconcious desires of those in 'control'? Would explain red!bakemono's actions towards Real. (And yes, I've seen her ID.)
(no subject)
Mmm, maybe. Um, can't say much about this of I'll spoil you real good. XD

Maybe the exposure to PROXY is the reason for her getting Cogito? Or maybe her loss of her reason to be, which would be her owner?

How far along are you right now?

Episode 11 I am, with the crazy bookstore, which lets me have some very insane ideas, and which lets me know that Jean-Jacques Rousseau is a hack. Why? Because he totally ignores the existence of symbolic and/or visual thinking. We may need language to communicate; but we don't need it to think. What we need to think is a) an apparatus to think (the brain) and b) some kind of input; the latter can be anything, from memory, to former thoughts, to sentences, to the touch of a fabric. If his philosophy can indeed be summarized by the episode, it has got holes in it to fly the Galactica through.

You remind me so much of the book I'm reading right now, Snow Crash, in which a hacker keeps on explaining language in that same way (to paraphrase: we all have the same hardware installed from birth, but it's the software - the experience to for example, develop a certain language. Oh, and he keeps on making metaphors with binary code). It's cool and interesting as hell, you should try it out.

BTW, 1x13. Real can be a spoiled brat, can't she?
(no subject)
Indeed. I wanted to hit her for most of that episode XD (but aww, she's growing up. Too bad she needed her Entourage to go psycho to mature, but oh well.)
(no subject)
Yeah, but she's still my favourite spoiled brat.
