I finished Ian McEwan's Cement Garden today. It was good, yes, but um. I was expecting a whole different thing from the summary (I was hoping for 'yay family' interactions a la SPN, if I gotta be honest), and instead, it's a really, really twisted tale with a real gritty, dry atmosphere. The characters were well built, but I really wouldn't like to meet any of them, which is strange for me. Also, this features lots of incest, and while one can go and mess around with Wincest and whatever, it's completely different to see it this way, and it's actually kinda squicky (well, a lot.)
I finished The Sandman's 6th volume some days ago, and while it was good, it was pretty much the same as vol. 3 - loose stories. Ramadan, the last one, was gorgeous, though. But! I've already started vol. 7, and it's looking up to be awesome.
Also, um. I seem to be squeeing about SPN really late in the game, aren't I? I watched it on Friday, but I hadn't had a chance to squee about it.
Supernatural 2x07 - The Usual Suspects: Just the idea of revisiting 'Skin' makes me all squeelful. And woot! For not linear storyline! It's an odd thing in this show, and actually, now that I think about it, Skin did the same thing. Huh. *loves*
Is it just me, or Sam looked especially hot this week? Even with his hair parted. WHICH SUCKS. But well. Dean looked particularly appealing in handcuffs. *nods*
I loved, loved, LOVED how much in synch the boys were. Separated, and in law trouble and they still go on with the case, thinking as one. AND THEY LEAVE CLUES FOR EACH OTHER, AND HAVE A SECRET CODE. HOW FUCKING AWESOME IS THAT??
Remember me saying how last week's had been kinda creepy? FORGET IT. Shit, but SPN hadn't scared me that much since Asylum. I pretty much JUMPED every time ghost!girl appeared. Linda Blair was cool. So was Sammy breaking the wall with his cast. Hee.Well that was great. It felt like such a 'normal' episode, though, you know? Especially since all that we'd seen of this season had been affected a lot by Devil's Trap and IMToD. A break from the angst, I guess.

Haha, I adore Delirium's speech bubbles! Death continues to rock harder than everyone else, though XD

Oh, I love her speech bubbles too! I love Death as well, but for some reason as I kept reading the series I have a soft spot for Delirium.

Hee, I'm getting what you mean. She's so... odd and wonderful, in her mad way (and she grows butterflies and frogs out of nowhere! That's definitely gets her browny points XD)

Eeee! I loved how in sync there were. They're like super spies with all their codes.
Um, yeah, there were a couple times where I had to actually look away from the tv because I was so freaked out.

You know they must have had a secret language when they were kids. And that it used to drive John up the wall *g*
I'd gotten so unused to that! Of course, it might have been the fact that I turned off the lights and watched it all alone...
