Eeeh! I forgot to squee yesterday! aka, I've already watched

Doctor Who Christmas Special - The Runaway Bride: I honestly hadn't ralized how much I'd missed Doctor Who until I saw this, and started squeeing as soon as the music started. I liked it. I liked it lots, because it made me laugh like anything had in some time. Okay, so I still think I would've liked a bit more of a time difference between Doomsday and this one, but oh well.

Donna was made of awesome. Can we keep her? Seriously, though, I loved her being brutally honest with the Doctor at the end, because he has gotten scary, he does need someone to stop him. I loved that entire ending scene, actually, the Doctor trying to dazzle Donna into saying with him, because he's still so lonely (ugh, and I hadn't remembered about that 'lonely God/angel/alien/whatever-it-is this week crap for months...) and needy.

I loved that martian joke. I loved the Doctor and I loved Donna slapping him and I loved seeing the Doctor taking off his jacket and I really, really loved to hir him saying that his pockets "Are bigger on the inside" XDD My God, but I died laughing at that moment.

The empress was blah to me, the same as using the robo-santas from last year, but the TARDIS chasing the taxi was ACE, the same as the twist about Lance and the Doctor saying '...They had Cybermen in Spain'.

ANYWAY, IS IT APRIL YET? Pretty please?

Heroes will be starting to show in here, this month, I think, but, of course, because it's me, it'll be showing in a channel that my cable network decided I didn't need anymore. *HEADDESK* Let's hope my parent's tv still has it. And speaking about tv, SPN'll be shown in the local channel in here, in, *drum roll* SPANISH. It'll be HOOOOOORRIBLE, I know, and yet, it makes me squeeful to know that I can now talk my cable-less friends into watching it XD (I am, though, concerned about the translation. I mean, even the subtitled version of the Warner Channel is kinda dubious...)

Now, who's up for more [livejournal.com profile] yuletide recs?

Contrary to Expectation, Howl's Moving Castle. Lovely series of drabbles from Megan's POV. I love the way the author fleshed out this character, while Howl is still the focus of the fic.

Four Things Howl Never Told Sophie and One Thing He Did
, Howl's Moving Castle. Domestics in the Jenkins residence. Utterly hilarious, and I really adore this Howl XD

Lives By Breaking, Chronicles of Narnia. Aching and painful, this was just perfect. What is like for the Pevensies to grow up twice, longing for England in Narnia and for Narnia in England.

Kingdoms Come, Chronicles of Narnia. Ugh, ugh, ugh but this made me go alsdfjldjf;asdfj. Beautiful. Caspian and Lucy, their lives told parallel, and the ending was just heart breaking.

Out of the Chicago Loop, Ocean's 11. EEEEEH. This one made me squee madly XD The whole crew, a Christmas job, and weeee, RUSTY. So cool.

My Holiday Musical, Scrubs. BWHAHAHAHA, THIS IS SO DAMN FUNNY! Dr. Cox thinks he's every television doctor ever invented, birds are running wild in the hospital's hallways and JD is about to perform as an elf. This is so IC it hurts.

Hearts and Souls, Superman Returns. Can you say 'dead from the cuteness?' *g* I love Jason in here, going through puberty and setting chemistry labs on fire accidentally and being sappy and liking 'Happy Feet'.

ETA: Ooooh, have you checked out [livejournal.com profile] lilian_cho's Decalphabet Challenge? It sounds amazing, so sign in, people!

Hmm. I would really like to enter that challenge, but I don't really dare sign up for it... Firstly, because I don't know if I'll have the time for it once exams start up again next week, and secondly because I don't know if I'll be able to do it at all. :(

*sniffles*

*puppy eyes*

Why not? Do your exams extend all the way into the end of February?

It's only 500 words minimum, and I promise I don't bite :-)

Actually, I'm not sure about the exams, but the problem is that I've been having sort of a very insistant writer's block for months now and I'd feel very stupid if I signed up for it and then couldn't write. :/

I'll... think about it. I need to get back into the writing business a bit first, see how it works when schools starts again and all.

Ah ic ic

For me, writing crack helps overcome writer's block. Also, silly things like creating an LJ for my character and filling out memes and quizzes with the character's traits in mind.

Oh, and you might find this useful.

'k :-)
