Am writing this from my neighbor's hidden basement.

The fact that I was woken up by screaming outside my window probably should've let me know that it was going to be a bad day, but it really wasn't until I saw the body parts outside that I actually digested it. The news stopped coming about two hours ago, after they said that France was virtually dead and that Mexico City was about to be bombed.

I don't know. It's all horrible. We tried getting away, figured that it wouldn't be so bad in the countryside, but the sheer amount of corpses on the road makes it impossible to leave the city, and anyway, we didn't have any provisions. I saw them eating another neighbors's dog, I don't think I'd ever seen so much blood before. We tried getting back home, but when we got there all the walls were splattered with blood and there were noises from the upper floor - we got out of there as fast as possible. We had to run through the zombie hord, I don't think my heart had ever been beating as fast. We found another group of survivers about a block away, and that's how we got inside this basement.

I don't know what will happen. We're a group of about twenty right now. There were three more, but they went out for a moment and haven't come back. I doubt they will. There's a tiny window at the corner of the basement, and you can see a bit of the outside world. The streets look deserted, but the screaming continues (hasn't stopped since it began this moment, actually), and there's a lot of abandoned cars and things all over.

There's a pregnant girl in here, she hasn't stopped crying for two hours. Her husband was killed early as they made their way here. There's only one crate of bottled water and three cans of peaches. I don't know what we'll do to get food, it's too dangerous to go outside.

I'm scared. I've no idea what's happened to my extended family - we managed to call my grandpa at about 11, but the line broke and we have't heard anything else. I'm just thankful all four of us are together, although my mom has a nasty cut on her arm and my brother's limping slightly.

I never thought the end would be quite like this.

Also, you might want to see this.

I'm still trying to sort things out on my end. I don't have a view out my office and I'm too scared to open the door. Our receptionist made it in, and I had to make sure she was alone before I opened the inner office door. So, I haven't seen any bodies, but this is not the only post in my flist talking about this. I think I'm not absorbing this, I can't believe it, like part of me can't think beyond staying inside and trying the phones.

God, it's been horrible in here - we probably should've stayed at home and put the furniture against the windows, or something, it would've spared us a lot of frightening sights. There's a lady in here that keeps saying that we should go outside and get somewhere safer, but I'm really too scared to even think about it.

Is there any word on cnn yet? I haven't been able to get through to any news site.

I'm so embarrassed, but you should know that both of your posts in combination nearly gave me a heart attack before I worked out what was going on.

We've managed to barricade the classroom doors, and they've been holding for a good while now. I don't know where my parents are, since I lost my phone when my coat got torn away from me in the struggle to get here. We haven't got any food or water here, so of course all that anybody can think about is how thirsty they are.

Really, I'm just waiting for them to scale the wall and get into the courtyard - the wall of this room is so vulnerable on that side I don't know how we can possibly stave them off any longer. I'm running out of options. It's so stupid, but all I can really think is I don't want to die at school.

Haha, really? I guess I can be proud of myself, then XD I found out about this in a very off handed way, so I actually didn't get scared by anything of this XD

I was so lucky I didn't have class today - we started running the moment I woke up.

Isn't there any back door you could use? It'd probably be better if you guys got out of there, if it's suck a weak hiding place. Get as many weapons as you can and run for it.

We're surviving. For now. I live in a rural area. Scythes are great. And similar things. Some idiot over here used nukes. Or something like that. Trier is ashes. At least if I am to believe the other guys on the emergency channels.

Just letting you know that you scared the shit out of me before I realized what this was. May have actually checked a news website to figure out what was going on.

Oh man, sorry 'bout that XD I found out something like: 'la-la-la-oh! People blogging like the end has come! Cool!' so I can't imagine what I would've thought if I'd seen a post like this one before *g* I'm having loads of fun with this day, if you haven't noticed, although I might've gone slightly overboard. Most of the other people's post are all 'yaaaay, brains!' and mine are all 'I'M COVERED IN BLOOD OMG I'M GONNA DIE'. XD

Such a shame, really, because it was so much fun.

Perhaps we could do a zombie week? *shifty eyes*
