Talk about speedy translations! It's pretty truthful to the original, though, so that's okay. :) I like how weird this actually turned out, lol. It's weird, though, a chromatic circle in Spanish is the spectre of colors, but in English it can also mean some weird musical thingy that I don't get. o_O It still fits, but... It's just weird.

Title: Chromatic Circle
Word Count: 890
Summary: The end is nigh. No one seems particularly surprised.
Author Notes: This is somewhat like magical realism? And/or surrealism? An alternative title was Dalí, after all. A quick translation of Círculo Cromático.

You know, for all that this is bizarre as fuck, I really do like this story, it's cool in its own way, and I'd certainly never written anything like it before (being the realism bitch that I am, lol). I'll probably translat it in a bit, it's pretty short, after all.

Well, it's done, and I'm actually pretty pleased with the result. Evil!Sam feels like such a betrayal to write, because you can't really excuse his actions, which is, dunno, awkward, or something. But as always, writing post apocalyptic stuff is morbidly fun. *g*

The screaming outside hasn't stopped, but it certainly has grown more sparse. The zombies stopped trying to get in about half an hour ago. I don't know why, and by now, I'm not about to create false hopes. There's a twelve year old boy in here, the youngest in the room, and he's hiccuping and whimpering by himself in the corner. His parents didn't make it.

I'm tired, and hungry, and I can't stop trembling. The radio managed to conect to a station for a couple of minutes but all we could hear was growling and slurping and screaming and then it went back to static.

Here's hoping we'll make it through the night.

I realy don't know for how longer I can stand this. The guy that was bitten a while ago turned two hours after being infected and he tried bitting the pregnant girl, susi. We had to kill him and I'm covered entirly in blood because he was going for me just before he was decapitated and I threw up once and again until it was only saliva because I haven't had anything to eat today. I can't even cry anymore.

Everything fell completely quiet at about six, and me and two other guys went out to see what was happening (my mom didn't want to let me go, but I couldn't take the stench of blood and susi's crying anymore). Everything was deserted. We stole a car and went to the nearest store, took everything we could. There was no one. Not one soul, just fresh corpses on the streets and trash thrown everywhere. We found three other survivals - they're pretty messed up, they had to leave one of their own as bait so they'd get out.

When we got back to the basement the house owner had already dragged Charlie's body out. They'd also mananged to make a radio work, but we're only getting static. I managed to connect to CNN a while ago, and it said that Germany's been nuked. No one seems to know for sure who did it, but there's talks of using them on New York too, since it seems to have the largest infected number. I don't really think it'll stop them.

And then the hell started again after seven, we could hear more and more footsteps and the screaming started again. They're pushing against the bookcase we propped against the whole in the window the fist zombie left - I can smell their rotting flesh from all the way across the room. It's getting dark and I don't know for how long we'll be able to keep them out.

God, I'm terrified.

Oh God, oh God, one of them just tried to get in.

He managed to bite one guy on the leg and all of the others went crazy and after they shot the zombie they started hitting the bitten guy with a baseball guy and now he's all bloody but it doesn't look like he'll turn into one of them and I'm scared and horrified and I've got blood on my face and I don't think the guy's going to make it, zombie or not.

Am writing this from my neighbor's hidden basement.

The fact that I was woken up by screaming outside my window probably should've let me know that it was going to be a bad day, but it really wasn't until I saw the body parts outside that I actually digested it. The news stopped coming about two hours ago, after they said that France was virtually dead and that Mexico City was about to be bombed.

I don't know. It's all horrible. We tried getting away, figured that it wouldn't be so bad in the countryside, but the sheer amount of corpses on the road makes it impossible to leave the city, and anyway, we didn't have any provisions. I saw them eating another neighbors's dog, I don't think I'd ever seen so much blood before. We tried getting back home, but when we got there all the walls were splattered with blood and there were noises from the upper floor - we got out of there as fast as possible. We had to run through the zombie hord, I don't think my heart had ever been beating as fast. We found another group of survivers about a block away, and that's how we got inside this basement.

I don't know what will happen. We're a group of about twenty right now. There were three more, but they went out for a moment and haven't come back. I doubt they will. There's a tiny window at the corner of the basement, and you can see a bit of the outside world. The streets look deserted, but the screaming continues (hasn't stopped since it began this moment, actually), and there's a lot of abandoned cars and things all over.

There's a pregnant girl in here, she hasn't stopped crying for two hours. Her husband was killed early as they made their way here. There's only one crate of bottled water and three cans of peaches. I don't know what we'll do to get food, it's too dangerous to go outside.

I'm scared. I've no idea what's happened to my extended family - we managed to call my grandpa at about 11, but the line broke and we have't heard anything else. I'm just thankful all four of us are together, although my mom has a nasty cut on her arm and my brother's limping slightly.

I never thought the end would be quite like this.

Also, you might want to see this.

Might I say that I'm in love with this? Because I am. Apocalypse!fic is one of my greatest kinks (if all the stuff I rec is any indication...) And it was just awesome to finally get this on paper. I had the greatest fun writing this than anything else in months, and it also happens to be the largest fic I've ever written. o_O

Title: Keep Walking (Nothing To See Here)
Word Count: 3800
Summary: The world ends on Tuesday the thirteenth, as Dean is trying to choose between Lays and Doritos in a run-down convenience store.
Author Notes: Spoilers up to Croatoan. Betaed by the amazing [livejournal.com profile] javajunkie13. Apocalypse!fic. Also, there are zombies. Isn't that enough of an incentive to read? XD

Dean rolls his window down, sings to Black Sabbath at the top of his lungs just to annoy Sam and ignores the smell, the same way he tries to keep ignoring the fact that five billion people suddenly dropped dead... )

I think my fanfic block is finally starting to give. *jumps up and down* I'm currently writing post-apocalypse SPN fic. It has zombies and everything! Meanwhile, though:

Title:Dejen Que Las Dunas Lo Entierren
Word Count: 2795
Rating: PG
Author Notes: I've had this universe in my mind for a loooong time, so it was gratifying to get it in paper, even when I had to change the plot entirely. *g* Researching the Beduoin culture was inmense fun. Also, I listened obsessively to these two Cirque du Soleil songs while writing this With random titles because I couldn't remember them when I uploaded them o_O. The English translation should be up in a bit.
