The lights just went out. I don't know how long will my battery hold. People are freaking out.
The scary bit? This is completely true. o_O

Worst was when the lights went off at the school I work at. We have no windows in 90% of the building so it was pitch dark even though it was day time outside. Consider over 400 kids screaming at the top of their lungs. It didn't help that I was recovering from a hangover that morning.

It's back now, thankfully, because I still needed to do my homework XD Oh, I know - I once wrote an entire short story with my cell phone as my only light source. o_O It was... interesting, to say the least. And I don't know where the candles are in here, so I kinda just go and run into walls and stuff.
Oh, man. o_O Now that sounds like the end of the world. Details, details! It sounds awfully interesting - although pretty nerve racking.

Yes, that day could easily compete with the end of the world. The night before I'd gone out with friends, had too much to drink. Came to work, lights were out in building, had to wait outside in the cold with the kids for 2 hours. When they allow us back into the building the lights start flickering and then they go off. The kids scream. Everyone freaks. And I freak because I can't find the one working flashlight in the library. It takes us ages to get the kids outside. When we're allowed back in again, the kids settle and the lights go off once more. This happens two more times. At which point my head is pounding and I'm annoyed and worried for the kids who've had to settle for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch since the kitchen runs on electricity and nothing was working for them. At the end of the day when we think everything is settled the lights go off for one more time, when I was sending the kids down the hall. Oh, my head hurts just thinking about it.
