We've still got power but it's flickering every so often. I hope everyone manages to calm down and keep it together where you are. The last thing you need is for panic to break out. Well, even more.

oh god, what timing! XD

It just got back, but it was horrible - it's as if our ability to behave like human beings dissappears when the lights go out. People hit each other and there's only two flashlights and I was doing my best to stay in a corner with my family and don't speak because people were becoming scarier than the zombies. They're starting to come to their senses, though, and they've realized that there's no way we'll make it out of here if we don't stick together.

Hee, I know, I immediatly went: '...OMG.'

God, who would have ever thought clichéd phrases like 'we live together or die alone' from TV shows would become part of real life? I'm so glad the power was restored though because this whole thing is terrifying enough.

I don't know how much worse this can get.

I dunno - I don't want to think about it, but some guy's already started talking about cannibalism. Thankfully, he's not getting a positive reaction, and if anything, he'll be the one we throw at the zombies as bait if/when we need to get out.

i definitely understand the panic and fear but, come on, that guy is just being plain ridiculous. it's too early to start taking about last resort things and, my god, i hope it doesn't get to that. definitely toss his ass first if those shuffling, moaning bastards come around. the situation is already bad enough without people like him making it worse.

I hate when the power goes out during night, only because I can't do anything because I can't read my candlelight (if I can even find one), I'm not trying to go blind. So I usually go to sleep early.

Worst was when the lights went off at the school I work at. We have no windows in 90% of the building so it was pitch dark even though it was day time outside. Consider over 400 kids screaming at the top of their lungs. It didn't help that I was recovering from a hangover that morning.

YOU'RE NOT PLAYING ALONG YOU'RE NO FUN. *glares*

It's back now, thankfully, because I still needed to do my homework XD Oh, I know - I once wrote an entire short story with my cell phone as my only light source. o_O It was... interesting, to say the least. And I don't know where the candles are in here, so I kinda just go and run into walls and stuff.

Oh, man. o_O Now that sounds like the end of the world. Details, details! It sounds awfully interesting - although pretty nerve racking.

See, this is why I should read the flist in chronological order as opposed to most recent entries. I'm sorry I'm not playing along, if only I'd known earlier.

Yes, that day could easily compete with the end of the world. The night before I'd gone out with friends, had too much to drink. Came to work, lights were out in building, had to wait outside in the cold with the kids for 2 hours. When they allow us back into the building the lights start flickering and then they go off. The kids scream. Everyone freaks. And I freak because I can't find the one working flashlight in the library. It takes us ages to get the kids outside. When we're allowed back in again, the kids settle and the lights go off once more. This happens two more times. At which point my head is pounding and I'm annoyed and worried for the kids who've had to settle for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch since the kitchen runs on electricity and nothing was working for them. At the end of the day when we think everything is settled the lights go off for one more time, when I was sending the kids down the hall. Oh, my head hurts just thinking about it.

Any strong winds outside? Flickering lights before they went out? Phone signals?
