I realy don't know for how longer I can stand this. The guy that was bitten a while ago turned two hours after being infected and he tried bitting the pregnant girl, susi. We had to kill him and I'm covered entirly in blood because he was going for me just before he was decapitated and I threw up once and again until it was only saliva because I haven't had anything to eat today. I can't even cry anymore.
Everything fell completely quiet at about six, and me and two other guys went out to see what was happening (my mom didn't want to let me go, but I couldn't take the stench of blood and susi's crying anymore). Everything was deserted. We stole a car and went to the nearest store, took everything we could. There was no one. Not one soul, just fresh corpses on the streets and trash thrown everywhere. We found three other survivals - they're pretty messed up, they had to leave one of their own as bait so they'd get out.
When we got back to the basement the house owner had already dragged Charlie's body out. They'd also mananged to make a radio work, but we're only getting static. I managed to connect to CNN a while ago, and it said that Germany's been nuked. No one seems to know for sure who did it, but there's talks of using them on New York too, since it seems to have the largest infected number. I don't really think it'll stop them.
And then the hell started again after seven, we could hear more and more footsteps and the screaming started again. They're pushing against the bookcase we propped against the whole in the window the fist zombie left - I can smell their rotting flesh from all the way across the room. It's getting dark and I don't know for how long we'll be able to keep them out.
God, I'm terrified.

besieged!
Is there anything that can mask your scents from the zombies? I can't think of anything right now, but there might be some kind of natural repulsive chemical, cleaner, perfume, etc. (Like aniseed does for dogs.) Could a sound on the right wavelength or volume drive them off?
Do you have a secure way *out* of the building? In case they get inside the room en masse & you have to retreat? Do *not* run upstairs unless it's the *only* way to escape, you'll be trapped! Brace that bookcase, even if you can't block the window completely-it'll mean they have to enter one at a time & they'll be easier to kill as they climb in over the pile.
If anyone has jackets, long-sleeved tops, or extra pants, needs to make sure they're wearing all the layers they can, to add some protection against biting. If you've water in portable containers, spread them out; if you have to run for it, food is going to be easier to come by than water will (comparatively) and water's more vital. If you've cars in the vicinity, make sure everyone knows where the keys are & where the car is, as closely as you can, and agree on a max waiting time before you'll abandon the stragglers...if you have to.
Accept that there *will* be casualties and that cannibalism is a miserable option...
Praying for you,
Pesti
Re: besieged!
I found some bleach a while ago while I was searching some crates for food, and I guess I'll try and use it to mask our scents/burn zombie faces off.
There's only two ways out of the basement, the stairs, and the zombie-invaded window. We're all pushing against the bookcase, though, and it's holding off rather nicely - here's hoping things will continue the same way.
I don't even want to look at the other's faces, because I know they might be next, and it's horrible to think that I might have to kill them if they become infected.
