I've been tagged by [livejournal.com profile] swedish15!

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
5. Don’t you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
6. Tag three people

The closest book, no cheating (it's the one on the top of my 'don't-fit-anywhere-anymore-God-what-am-I-going-to-do-with-so-many-books' pile), it's the one I'm reading right now. Seriously, I'm on page 30, I'm going to be spoiled like mad *g*

He's got his own security detail of half a dozen other guys in suits. Even though they aren't doing security, they couldn't help ssending along a token delegation to show de colors.

This is a non sequitur that has been nibbling on the edges of Hiro's mind for the last ten minutes: Laser light has a particular kind of gritty intensity, a molecular purity reflecting its origins.

'Snow Crash', by Neal Stephenson.

I tag: [livejournal.com profile] dixie_pink, [livejournal.com profile] onadancefloor, and [livejournal.com profile] haltlos (because I want to see if I get the change of getting something in German XD)

This is just so damn odd, but I haven't had a day without a headache since last thursday. They just go away if I take a pill, and it's not like I don't have a family history with headaches, but it's getting downright ridiculous. *aches*

I forgot to mention earlier, I finished 1984 a couple of days again, and oh, I liked it lots. It was just on the verge of disturbing, though, and so, so very chilling. Breaking someone like that...

And speaking about breaking people, Landscape, is such a damn good story. Why yes, I am aware that I've been reccing this author way too much, but she's just that brilliant. Futurefic, with Clark dying trying to save the world and Lex traveling through alternate realities to try and find a way to stop armaggedon. The first and the fifth reality, especially gave me the creeps (1st one: Clark going evil and taking over the world, and the way he just bends both alt!Lex and Lois... God, it was creepy, but so very well written.), but everything's pretty much brilliant. Clark/Lex, NC-17.

And still on the subject, my cousins, apparently, have all four seasons of Smallville! Yayz! I'll stalk them until they let me borow it XD

(God, I so don't need a new fandom...)

Haven't written anything but a few sentences for my [livejournal.com profile] 1fandom in days. My fingers ache to write something, and yet, I can't seem to actually do it. Grr.
