I don't think I've mentioned it, but the homework I was crying about doing yesterday is a cd booklet along with a promotional poster for said booklet, and I did it for a 'recopilation' for The Libertines. It turned out rather pretty, even if somewhat plain, and the poster ended up PIXELATED LIKE WHOA and a bit greenish because the plotter wasn't calibrated right and a font was missing, but I honestly was so fed up with it that I didn't give a shit anymore, lol. ANYWAY, IT'S PRINTED ALREAY, YAY.

I probably shouldn't do this, because I'm swimming in homework enough as it is, but the airbrushing classroom is full so I can't do anything and I've finally printed my inDesign/Illustrator class homework and I FEEL SO FREE. AT LEAST FOR RIGHT NOW.

So, is there a fic of mine you would like to see a DVD commentary of? all fandoms are up for grabs, but I probably won't remember all that much of my old Remus/Sirius fic, lol, it's been too long.

Okay. Back to doing homework.

I saw Children of Men today with my mom. It was awesome and painful and I think I like it even more that I liked Babel (i.e. a lot). So, it's 2027, there hasn't been a single birth in the past 18 years, and the movie shows it - the lack of hope, the desperation. The atmosphere (thanks to a beautiful photography) is just chill-worty. The plot moves just right and the characters are solid and well acted. I cried near the end. I got out with this feeling of despair in my chest (I kinda wanted to go and hug random kids), because it's so plausible, you know? It's easy to think of it as our future. I liked the ending, but I would love to have seen more of the characters, because, as I said, they're really well written. Also, Juliane Moore's hair is pretty much the only spot of color in the movie XD And Clive Owen was awesome. You know, the usual *g* All hail Alfonso Cuarón!

Now, wee, the answers to the meme!

Okay, my list is:

1. Remus Lupin (HP)
2. Sam Winchester (SPN)
3. Dean Winchester (SPN)
4. Harry Potter (HP)
5. Sirius Black (HP)
6. Dream of the Endless (The Sandman)
7. Peter Petrelli (Heroes)
8. Hiro Nakamura (Heroes)
9. The Doctor (Doctor Who)
10. Jack Sparrow (PotC)
11. Rukia Kuchiki (Bleach)
12. Sasuke Uchiha (Naruto)
13. John Winchester (SPN)
14. Bobby Drake (X-Men Movieverse)
15. St. John Allerdyce (X-Men Movieverse)

Asked by [livejournal.com profile] lilian_cho: Who would be the worst teaching assistant, Harry Potter or Sasuke Uchiha? What subjects would they teach? Who would be the professor that they help?

Sasuke teaches math! With Snape! )

Asked by [livejournal.com profile] pink_faerie81: 1)Peter Petrelli hates Sasuke Uchiha with a fiery passion but will never tell anyone just why. what did Sasuke Uchiha do to Peter Petrelli to incite such rage?

also, The Doctor is secretly in love with Dean Winchester but isn't sure if Dean feels the same way. what is the best way for The Doctor to win Dean's heart?

The Petrelli brothers fighting side along side with the Naruto cast to save the world! )

Dean/Doctor, omg, the newest OTP )

Asked by [livejournal.com profile] everybodysweird: 1)what is the meanest thing Remus Lupin has ever done to anyone? 2)out of all of them, who's the most likely to be a pretentious music snob? 3)if Dream and Sasuke Uchiha were into S&M, who would be the dom?

Remus blaims himself, you know, the deal. Oh, and Dean. And Dream/Sasuke. )

I've been tagged by [livejournal.com profile] swedish15!

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
5. Don’t you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
6. Tag three people

The closest book, no cheating (it's the one on the top of my 'don't-fit-anywhere-anymore-God-what-am-I-going-to-do-with-so-many-books' pile), it's the one I'm reading right now. Seriously, I'm on page 30, I'm going to be spoiled like mad *g*

He's got his own security detail of half a dozen other guys in suits. Even though they aren't doing security, they couldn't help ssending along a token delegation to show de colors.

This is a non sequitur that has been nibbling on the edges of Hiro's mind for the last ten minutes: Laser light has a particular kind of gritty intensity, a molecular purity reflecting its origins.

Has anyone seen the new Powerpuff Girls Z episode? OMG IT IS CUTE. The animation rocks (it must have been done by the same people who did Doremi, the swirly movement looks the same), and it has quite decent music. Of course, it's raped the original one as in the fresh feeling it had (I still remember seeing the pilot for PPG, oh so many years ago), and it's turned them into silly magical girls, but... BUT THE SHINY, OMG. (I kinda watched the transformation scene four times. THE MUSIC IS CATCHY, STFU.) I miss anime ;-;

It was a bit depressing though, to see that I still only understand silly things like 'oishii' and 'yatta' and God, but I'm really NOT ready to take that Japanese exam in December. *starts worrying* *mutters 'Gambatte' to herself over and over again*

I still haven't read anything of [livejournal.com profile] dogdaysofsummer. Crap. And I wanted to write something today, too...

Am sketching Tinkerbell for one of my cousins. That is clearly an indication that I'm awfully bored. *le sigh*

EDIT: A meme I stole shamelessly from [livejournal.com profile] shaggydogstail found!

There's a bunch of fic-based memes around. How did you pick the title, why did you start with that first line, what happens after the story ends, etc. If you like, pick a story of mine and ask me any one of those questions, from the ones I just listed or any others you can think of.

here's my fic, btw.
nekare: (colorful Doctor)
I developed for the first time ever today, yayz! It was cool, even if it was so DAMN HOT inside the dark room, and my teacher did most of, uh, everything by himself. Well, I'll just have to take proper lessons, I guess. Juanjo, my funny as hell, sex-obsessed friend kept on saying "Ale, stop touching yourself!" while in the dark, and I was like "Oh no, I've been caught!" XDD Quite hilarious. Then we got bored and started talking about how my cousin and somebody else's little sister had been meaning to go to yesterday's Hilary Duff's concert, and how lame was that, all while we all were sweating like pigs.

A few of the pictures didn't come out right, though. ;-; I was especially looking forward for the one I took at flamenco, but oh well, it was only my first roll with a professional camera. *wants to REALLY learn to use her exposimeter*

I was tagged by [livejournal.com profile] haltlos to write six of my odd habits:

My incredibly ODD AND WEIRD habits. XD )

Well, that got long. Ugh, I'm just itching to write. Especially original stuff, because I haven't done the homework for writing class for some weeks already, and that's sad. Thing is, they have to be short stories, not narrative, (my forte) and that demands plot. Grrr. Give me plots, people! just random ideas or something. Pretty please?

On other stuff, I watched some Old Skool Doctor Who yesterday! 'The Androids of Tara', featuring Four, Romana I and K-9. Am not placing under a cut since it was aired in 1978 and spoilers are pretty much redundant by now. ANYWAY, I loved it XD Four IS truly amazing, and his scarf is love. :)) Romana is waaaaay to pretty for a companion, but everyone is in love with Romana II, so I won't judge until I see some of her episodes. The special effects made me giggle so much, but I really liked the sword duel, and all the while I was thinking 'So that's where Ten learned all his swordsmanship!! Ah, I hope I get to see more. :)

Eh, since I've been tagged (twice, I think. *fails at keeping up*):

List seven songs you are into right now. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

1. Zoé - Fotosíntesis. This song is just beautiful, the lyrics are as twisted as always with this band and it reminds me of R/S for some reason in the guitar solo. Also, it's been giving me bunnies to write a fic in complete sync with it. exact sync, and that it would be read in the time it took the song to finish.
2. Zoé - Dead. Yes, I know I've been talking about them non stop, but they're just so awesome. The ending of this one just makes me tingle.
3. Zazie - La vie en rose. I know I got this one from my flist, but I just don't remember from who... Anyway, this feels so smooth and subtle that is almost sexy, and french almost melts me inside.
4. Jill Tracy - Evil Night Together. since it's one of the sexier songs I've heard in my life.
5. The Killers - Midnight Show. Because the beat just twists something inside me, and the lyrics are wonderful.
6. Garbage - #1 Crush. Because the lyrics give me the creeps, and it reminds me of Romeo and Juliet (and the pretty, pretty coloring of that movie), and that reminds me of a friend I used to have that was completely obsessed with that book. And I do mean obsessed.
7. Mew - Special. Because I just can't stop hearing it. I love the beat, the lyrics, and the singer's girly voice has always fascinated me.

Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] violetion. Strange movies, books, TV series, anime, manga and comics accepted. Go on people!

Name a fandom you know I know and I'll tell you:

1. The first character I first fell in love with.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer.
6. The character I would shag anytime.
7. The character I'd want to be like.
8. The character I'd slap.
9. A pairing that I love.

Got this idea from [livejournal.com profile] everybodysweird, and it was too cool to let it pass.

1. Hit shuffle and pick the first twenty-five songs on your playlist.
2. Write down one line of the song. Try to avoid putting the song title in the line.
3. Have your friends comment and see if they know the songs.
4. When someone guesses correctly, strike out the line.

Long, loooong music list. )

EDIT: Since a lot of time has passed, I've already put the names of the songs. Be sure to download them! They're all great, great songs.

Got this from [livejournal.com profile] beautifulphrase, and the idea was too cool to let it pass.

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now (even if we don't speak often), please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want -- good or bad -- BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.

When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you!

So go, share our forgotten memories!

Got this idea from [livejournal.com profile] garlandgraves, and it strike me as too cool to let it pass.

So this piece of this fic was translated to two languages before translating it back to english. The result? Madness. Under the cut is the original, and the three crazy things that came from it.

I knew there was a reason to hate Babel Fish... )
