I have a bazillion half-written posts in a google doc that I then forget to actually post. MY HEAD, WHERE IS AT. They all boil down to: Wolf of wall street was well done but two hours of stupid male fantasy / Frozen was cute but most of the songs were 'eh' and I've found the songs for all of the latest Disney movies to be 'eh' and I'm not sure if it's 'cause I'm not 8 anymore / I hate bullshit drivers so much why can't people use blinkers. So deep.

Today is apparently Zombie Pride day, so I did this for the uni my agency works for. Brainssss.

I'm rewatching Sailor Moon, because apparently I've misplaced my childhood, and I'm having a blast. I'm about to start reading the manga too, yayz.

And here's a sketch that wasn't accepted for valentine's day at work so I'll color it on my own anyway. )

With every new footage I see of Watchmen, the feeling that it will be so. fucking. awesome only grows. asldkjf I so can't wait for it. :333

[livejournal.com profile] chrryblssmninja linked at how the live-action Cowboy Bebop film is still going. With Keanu Reeves starring as Spike.

Excuse me while I throw up a little in my mouth.

No, seriously. I usually don't mind Keanu Reeves, but this is Cowboy Bebop we're talking about, easily the best anime series ever done, and to have it TARNISHED like this - well, it's just wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. ;_____; If you haven't seen it yet - let me tell you, you're seriously missing out. This is jazz in space, this is noir sci-fi, this is an ex-criminal, an ex-cop, an ex-gambler, an ex-hacker and a genious dog becoming bounty-hunters, and dealing with ghosts of their past. This series is just perfect. ♥ The series credits, actually, will tell you all about how awesome it is. YES.

And now I feel like doing a massive re-watch. SIGH. Of CB and Samurai Champloo, which is just as awesome, and by the same people, but only less serious and more fun. Just like CB is jazz in space, this is hip-hop in Samurai-ruled Tokugawa Era Japan. ANACHRONISMS AHOY, YAY. :DD

Hehe, I marathoned through the last episodes of Kimi Wa Petto yesterday night because a)I could, b)I don't have to go to school until 1 pm today and c)I wanted to see how it all ended so bad, damnit, WHO IS THIS STRANGER THAT LIKES GIRLY GIRLY STUFF AND WHAT HAVE THEY DONE WITH THE REAL ME?

Anyway, it was pretty fun and sweet. I approve. Also, the dude that plays Hasumi-senpai is sooooo odd looking. Like, if he's serious he looks almost handsome, but then he laughs and puckers his mouth or SOMETHING and he looks all kinds of lol-tastic, haha. And Matsumoto Jun, well, he's incredibly cute but he's quite far from the sexy bombshell I was expecting from how much squeegage he gets in my flist. o_O

In any case, PEOPLE. WHAT DRAMA SHOULD I WATCH NEXT? I kinda wanna see Goong because it looks all kinds of cute, but I dunno. *shrug*

And yep, I might be the only person ever who watched an episode of Firefly, decided it was okay (although the music was extremely aggravating - I really don't like westerns) and then moved on to the silliest option available. Huh. I will finish it, someday, but comparisons to Cowboy Bebop just can't be helped with me, and so far, I'd rather keep Spike and co. *shrug* Dunno, does it really get that much better?

Comment on this post. I will choose 6 interests from your profile and you will explain what each of them means (and why you're interested in them).

[livejournal.com profile] snubullownsyou asked me about these ones:

Alphonse Mucha: My absolute favorite painter, in any period. All of his paintings are so fluid and colorful and dreamy and absolutely stunning - this man's work is honestly beautiful. My favorite painting of his is Le Nuit.

Casanova: A wonderful British series about the life of Giacomo Casanova, playboy extraordinaire. The series that made me start fangirling David Tennant, it's so well written and acted and it has lovely music and costumes and cinematography and I just love it to bits. ♥

Garbage: While they're not my favorite band anymore, I still think of them fondly all the time, and I still love their music. My favorite song? Probably 'Sleep Together', although 'Deadwood' is also incredible.

Killing Moonix: inside joke, lol. I stole this interest from [livejournal.com profile] terraneanblues in relation to [livejournal.com profile] moonix, of course, and we all share it (there's a 'killing nekare' version too) because we like to believe we share the crown for supreme angst queen and we like to kill each other with angst. BECAUSE WE'RE THAT COOL.

Samurai Champloo: One of the best animes I've ever seen - this one was made by the same people that did Cowboy Bebop, Witch Hunter Robin and Ergo Proxy, and oposing Cowboy Bebop (which has Jazz in space), it's all about time misplacement and it's set in the Tokugawa era FEATURING HIP-HOP DANCING SAMURAIS. LIKE, FOR REAL. It's so awesome, promise, I nearly burst something laughing while watching it for the first time. Besides, the animation is top-notch.

Trainspotting: A truly amazing movie about a group of junkies in Scotland in the 90s - crude and honest and yet funny, this one's a hell of a jewel. Plus, it has Ewan McGregor in the main role, which is always a Very, Very, Good Thing. One of those movies that are wonderful in their simplicity.

My brother has been the most annoying drama queen all day long, starting since this morning when I went and taught my grandpa to use his computer and just because he helped for like, ten minutes, he wanted half the money! UGH. I kinda wanted to throttle him.

I got my groove back a while before, though, when my cousin Nadia called me to say her aunt had already given back her Smallivelle DVDs, so she'll be borrowing me the first four seasons, yay! I'll be picking them up tomorrow, so I'll probably be having a week-long marathon, or something. :)

I watched up to ep. 14 or Ergo Proxy yesterday, and my God, but how much I love that show. I'll be making a review post tomorrow, before I get sucked into Smallville. And ugh, how I hope the group that subs it will get to upload the rest soon. (man, I sound like such a whiny fic-reviewer, or something, but me? = OBSESSED.) It's odd how my my favorite favorite animes of all times (manga is a different thing), are all made by kinda the same people: Cowboy Bebop, Witch Hunter Robin and Samurai Champloo. o_0 Speaking of which, Manolo, a friend of mine hasn't returned WHR. DAMN IT I WANNA SEE IT AGAIN.

I finally got to burn the first half of Day Watch, and I STILL HAVEN'T SEEN IT. I fail at life.

Anhelo: To Yearn, to long for. (The H doesn't make any sound in Spanish, we actually call it 'mute'. A as in 'and', elo as in 'hello'.) I love this word because it's so evocative, it somehow matches the meaning. I love the spelling too - the H doesn't do anything, but it sure looks pretty in there. It sounds a bit like 'Aéreo', which makes me think of this word as delicate and air-born, smoke-like.

Has anyone seen the new Powerpuff Girls Z episode? OMG IT IS CUTE. The animation rocks (it must have been done by the same people who did Doremi, the swirly movement looks the same), and it has quite decent music. Of course, it's raped the original one as in the fresh feeling it had (I still remember seeing the pilot for PPG, oh so many years ago), and it's turned them into silly magical girls, but... BUT THE SHINY, OMG. (I kinda watched the transformation scene four times. THE MUSIC IS CATCHY, STFU.) I miss anime ;-;

It was a bit depressing though, to see that I still only understand silly things like 'oishii' and 'yatta' and God, but I'm really NOT ready to take that Japanese exam in December. *starts worrying* *mutters 'Gambatte' to herself over and over again*

I still haven't read anything of [livejournal.com profile] dogdaysofsummer. Crap. And I wanted to write something today, too...

Am sketching Tinkerbell for one of my cousins. That is clearly an indication that I'm awfully bored. *le sigh*

EDIT: A meme I stole shamelessly from [livejournal.com profile] shaggydogstail found!

There's a bunch of fic-based memes around. How did you pick the title, why did you start with that first line, what happens after the story ends, etc. If you like, pick a story of mine and ask me any one of those questions, from the ones I just listed or any others you can think of.

here's my fic, btw.
