Well, I've just finished reading up to issue 20 from Ultimate X-Men.

And really, can't they just stick to one artist? Because the art in issues 14-20 wasn't bad at all, but it's the kind of style one expects in comedy cartoons, not, you know, X-Men. Ugh, I hope the rest is drawn by the illustrator of the first two volumes...

BUT ANYWAY I LOVE IT A LOT. LOT, LOT, LOT.

The story is so damn intriguing and Professor X makes me shiver a large deal. I don't think I'd ever read something with Beast and Colossus in it, and I'm sooo liking them - I had never understood what was the big deal about them. But now I so heart them. *cuddles them*

And Remy and Rogue, yayz!

Ugh, I'm tired.

Since my pile of new books was getting to be a bit too heavy for my drafting table, so I moved around ALL the books in my room so they could fit. To give you an idea of how many they are: I just took 52 books out to give away (most of them with pink pages, such an embarassment - but I was prepubescent too.), amd I hid 32 in a trunk that used to be filled with all my childhood Barbie comics (again, such an embarassment.), and that includes must of my Anne Rice collection (I know, I know, but it was going kinda-not-that bad until it hit Blood Canticle. Which sucked with the suckiness of a thousand suns.). AND my bookcase, and my closet cubicles that I use as bookcases, and the floor, is STILL FULL.

I am swimming in books, folks.

BUT! It looks better now. And my Spanish first editions of Harry Potter and LotR are finally visible again. Win-win, I guess. *aches*

Flamenco today, yay! I always miss it lots during vacation - and of course, I get all rusty, and stuff.

This'll be such a fic-filled day! Great stories, great authors, I just can't wait. :)

Title: It Comes With the Job
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1671
Summary: The Doctor. And the other Doctor. And the possible destruction to a innocent planet, because that's just the sort of stuff that happens to him.
Author Notes: Betaed by the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] melandry. Written for [livejournal.com profile] dougs for the Tenth Doctor Ficathon. His requests were:

1. "You alright?" "I'm always alright."
2. The Doctor stroking bits of the TARDIS.
3. The Doctor cautiosly refraining from saying something unpleasant that's obvious to everyone else.

Well, two out of three should be alright. :)

“Come on, girl,” he murmurs as he strokes some buttons, breath warm against the console... )

I've been too out of reach as of lately with my RL friends. I open MSN today, and I guess that my best guy friend saying "Look, an Ale!" is very showy. *shifty eyes*

God, it felt good to dance today, it was damn tiring after two weeks without it, but so rewarding. and joy! Bere agreed to lend me Smallville's first season. :)

I found out today that a short story contest I participated in last year (which I didn't mind losing any bit, not with my 2nd place from the other contest under my arm XD) is running again, and I'd like to give it another try, because, damn, the prize it's 7000 pesos! 0_o So, my Spanish-speaking flist, would you mind telling me if Oleaje could stand a shot with proper editing and gramatical checking? Pretty please>? I'll still try and really write more in Spanish, before this one, I hadn't writen anything since late June. Which is depressing.

I've just fallen in love with Kaare Andrew's art (the illustrator of issues 23 and 24 of Ultimate X-Men). Granted, it doesn't fit at all with X-Man, and it probably was a bad idea to let him work on that, but damn can he draw. I'm a cartoon loving freak, after all, so I know my thing - drool worthy and bright and with such movement. Just beautiful. I'll have to check and see whether the guy's done any other comics - I'd be highly interested. (Uh, by this time, you must have already realized that I'm a bit prejudiced regarding illustrations. Must of the time, Early Sandman is the only exception because the story is so damn good, but it's severly lacking in the art department sometimes.)

I haven't done any flisting today. So, so sorry. I'll try and check some journals later.

EDIT: OMG [livejournal.com profile] shoebox_project GOT UPDATED AND I DIDN'T KNOW!!
