My brother and I plotted this cracked up video game yesterday. o_O He was thinking of a cheap Halo rip-off but then I got carried away and started thinking about an underground tunnel web beneath the San Juan de Dios market that people used to use to smuggle pirate CDs and the like and that they start using as an army refuge after the aliens come and attack the earth. It was mighty fun. XD

I guess I'm to late to flail about Heroes?

Heroes 1x13 - Fix It )

So, anyone has Claire/Peter recs they'd like to share with me? *puppy eyes* I really dig Heroes fic in general but all I can find is a big pile of crap in shippy comms. *sigh*

January writing round-up!

Dejen Que Las Dunas Lo Entierren, Original, PG.
Post apocalypse universe, in which the world has turned into a giant desert and the only culture remaining is the Arab one, living in Europe because the heat's unbearable down south. I really was going to translate this, but I was kinda sick of it after days of not thinking of anything else. What d' you think guys, want me to finish the translation?

Keep Walking (Nothing To See Here), Supernatural, gen, PG-13.
The world ends on Tuesday the thirteenth, as Dean is trying to choose between Lays and Doritos in a run-down convenience store. I kinda really like this one. Especially the zombies. Zombieeeees.

Nameless, original, boyslash, R.
He likes to get you to pant for him, to shut your eyes because looking at him is too much when he's talking like that, nose brushing your eyelids. he likes to kiss you by the open window, smirking at random people walking past it.

UGH, ONLY THREE, SO LAME. I don't know why I've been having so much trouble to write as of lately. I'm writing longer stuff, sure, but last January? I wrote TWENTY-ONE fics, 17 of them being a large, plotty series. *stabs muse* And right now I'm in that mood again, when I'm ACHING to write and yet I don't feel like writing what I should be writing. ARGH. It's so frustrating.

Mmm, I hadn't done a rec post in a long time, huh? [livejournal.com profile] pink_faerie81, I marked with a '*' all of the fic that won't spoil you. Did you really think I was just going to get you into a new fandom and not show you the goodies of it? XD

Gen

Indelible by [livejournal.com profile] destina. The story behind six of Dean's most treasure posessions. This one made me flail madly because it's so lovely and heartbreaking and well told. Starting when Dean was 9 until present time. *

Vocabulary by [livejournal.com profile] innie_darling. One of the best Sam character studies I've ever read. 16-year-old Sam has an assignement for school, to define himself in three words: 'I am ___' as;ldfjasldjf. such a wonderful story. *

White Pony by [livejournal.com profile] thepurpleswitch, gen with bits of Sam/Jess. Sam gets a chance of having everything he ever wanted. He's not sure he wants it anymore, though. Wonderful Sam'n'Dean interaction, and I rather like this Jess. *

Untitled by [livejournal.com profile] stele3. Dean dies for a third time, and Sam brings him back. Dean is less than happy about it. One of those stories that is so good you really can't stop reading. Wonderful. Post IMToD.

Sam/Dean

Long Road Home by [livejournal.com profile] sanyin, SPN/Alias x-over PG-13. This fic made me go alsdjflsdjf. The retelling of both of the pilots, so Sam's at Stanford, working for SD-6, and he runs into an undercover Dean (who's working for the CIA) in his first major mission. Um. WOW. If this was turned into a novel-lenght fic? I'd be all over it, because it makes both of the 'verses fit together seamlessly. Also, the Sam/Dean in here is sizzling hot. A must read. *

The Miner's Lamp, Ruddy With the Light and I See You Better In the Light by [livejournal.com profile] hansbekhart, R. The second time that Sam Winchester falls in love, it’s sudden, abrupt. There are no roses and Sam’s been wearing the same t-shirt for a solid week. He won’t realize what has happened for months.
This trilogy is everything Sam/Dean should be. Hesitant, slow, and with all of the right 'wrong' undertones. (confusing much?) Beatiful; one of my favorite wincest fics ever.

Ex Luna Scientia by [livejournal.com profile] coffee_in_bed, pg-13. Quite a basic premise: AU in which the Winchesters are werewolves; but this story took that idea to such a new level. Thing is, they've always been werewolves, ruled by a strict pack ethic, but they still end up as hunters. Lovely story. *

5 Things That Fandom Did to Dean Winchester by [livejournal.com profile] fatale, Parody. So. Damn. Hilarious. Fandom cliches at their best, baby. *

Somewhere I have Never Traveled by [livejournal.com profile] follow_midnight, R. Three stages of their relationship: Before Stanford, just after Wendigo and post In My Time of Dying. Beautifully written.

Other

Lifting the Veil (Halloween in Gotham), SPN/DC Comics x-over, Sam/Tim Drake. I loved everything in this - Gotham's descriptions, Sam's cynical teenage self, Dean's big brotherly ways, how similar and how different at the same time Sam and Tim are. Just wonderful. Dean likes big cities because it’s easier to get laid and commit petty crimes. Sam finds that reflexively annoying for no real reason other than that Dean is a jackass. And: Sam’s always been friends with girls, so he knows all about boy-kissing videos and fanfiction. Hee. GO READ. NOW. *

I saw Jeux d'enfants* today. a;lsdfjalsdjflasdjflakjsdf. I'd heard it wasn't your normal romantic comedy, but I sure as hell didn't expect that. Julien and Sophie have been playing a dare game since they were children, the dares escalating with the years. Visually, it was quite a gorgeous movie for such a dark content - and it fit, strangely. Ther characters were awesome, so well developed, and the way they end up so ruthless, being selfish to the bone... *shiver* Just. Wow. these scenes, especially, left me awed ) the game idea was so ingenious, too. I LOVED IT. THE END.

*Now let's be bitchy about the title's English translation. 'Love me if you dare' sounds so cheesy and lame, and well, my language's romantic so I can't think of the title as anything other than the original meaning, 'Child's Play'. *shrug*

Um, what else. I have red hightlights in my hair again! It shines in the sun. Preeety. I laughed a lot with the Halloween episode of Dark Angel. Severed heads, yay!

Supernatural must be over by now, right? you lucky wenches, flist. XD
