I've spent the entire weekend crying thanks to cinema. I don't complain, though.
All of that waiting finally ended and Juno was released on theaters on Friday. yay! I really liked it. It was cute and funny and well done, and had some fantastic music. I found it to be more like Garden State than Little Miss Sunshine, if you're going to compare indie movies that have nothing to do with each other. Buuuut, whatever. Maybe I was too PMStic, but I seriously bawled my eyes out at the end. Um. But really, Ellen Page for Best Actress? Come on. I love the gal, but if anything she deserved the nomination for Hard Candy (she's fucking scary in that one), not for this one.
And then I saw Atonement again, and my, but it looked so incredibly gorgeous in the big screen. *happy sigh* I didn't cry nearly as much as I did the first time I saw it, but it's still one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen, visually, and I could hear people sniffling along the room. My dad loved it, too, especially the ending, which I guess makes him a heartless bastard. Or something. It's really good in the second viewing too - so many details just stand up, this time around.
And then I just finished watching The Fountain, and I don't think I'll ever watch that movie and not cry like a baby. Oh, my heart. It aches, and yet this movie gives me a fascinating feeling of peace. And now I have to do a short essay and why it's good, technically speaking, for a school assignment. Best assignment ever, I guess XD
