My Scenic Make-up class continues to be made of shiny - we put on beards and mustache last week, with real hair and all (it was oh so scratchy but oh so hilarious as well XD), and today we learned to do bruises and open wounds with latex and lots and lots of fake blood. It looked pretty gross, which equals AWESOME, and a friend actually went home with the wound still in place, which accounted for a lot of stares, haha. Next week we're doing burn wounds!
I actually did watch SPN and Pushing Daisies last week, I just could never find the time to review them, woe. But they were both adorable and fun and yay-worthy. :DDD
I let a friend borrow my copy of Howl's Moving Castle a couple of weeks ago, and he borrowed it to another friend, and I only got it back today. Anyway, I randomly started re-reading the ending again, AND OH, THE LOVE. That books is certainly in my top 5, I've read it so many times. :D Actually, I've been reading the Chrestomanci series for the past two weeks - I read The Lives of Christopher Chant, Charmed Lives and Conrad's Fate in like, four days, haha, and they were rather awesome. My favorite character's Christopher, mostly because he's a bit of an obstinate, vain wise-ass, much in the same vein of Howl, haha. I started The Magicians of Caprona but I haven't really had the time to get past the first 10 pages, boo. I do adore Diana Wynne Jones, yes. ♥
There was a lot of stuff I wanted to do today, including laundry, some painting and asking for the price of framing a ridiculously gorgeous poster I bought on a Design convention on Saturday (ridiculously large, too, about 120x80cms, which is like, what, 4x2.5 feet?), and I ended up doing nothing but this lame social service assignment. BAH. I wouldn't bitch as much if it involved pay, truly. I just hate the fact that it's actually ACCEPTED for everyone to exploit students and pay them NOTHING whatsoever in the guise of 'social retribution'. Bullshit.
