Okay, so I was thinking, and... Do you think there'll be some hot Henry on Henry action in the Time Traveler's Wife movie? You know. THAT scene. Y'all know what I'm thinking about.

I figure not, because it'd be... quite controversial, and shit, but I'd so, SO like it. Um.

Okay, I'll go back to doing homework now. *shifty eyes*

THEY'RE MAKING A MOVE?! Damn, I should really get out from underneath this rock.

(Also, yes, that could be very hot. But they probably won't include it.)

They are! Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams will be Henry and Claire respectively. Am I oh so happy about the casting? Not really, (Bana's too bulky [although cute as hell] and McAdams is too... The Notebook.) but I've faith it'll come out okay.

Yeah. It's sad, though. ;___; I loves me some Henry/Henry. *sigh*

I looked it up on imdb right after I read this here, and yeah, I'm not really into the whole Eric Bana thing. I don't think I've ever actually seen a movie with him in it, but he just strikes me as off for the part of Henry. I'm surprisingly okay with McAdams in it, though.

I'm trying to think if it has direct consequences to anything else in the plot. It sort of is an interesting interaction and also has the whole 'why didn't you tell me before?' and the realization that time is sort of static, in a way. Like, the moment in Henry's life had already happened and so they couldn't lock the door this time or whatever. I like the scene (and not just because it's sort of erotic) but because it shows a lot about time travel and the comraderie (for lack of a better word) between the "Henrys" (if you will). They might be able to do this without actually having "that" scene though.

Yeah, that's always so unique to this book - the future is written and nothing can be done about it, and it was such a good way of explaining the inevitability in it, in such a, uh, normal? That's probably not it, but, non-crucial? way. And yeah, I loved how all the Henrys treated each other throughout the book - like old, close friends.

But yeah, the mental image was rather a nice plus, hehe.

I really do hope they'll at least keep the whole 'sexing Claire up while present day Henry is asleep next to them. It was an almost creepy scene. And for completely shallow motivs, I want them to keep that 'walking into present day Henry's bed and going to sleep while the other one gets into the bed as well and watches him. Um.

GWHA. This book is on my reading list and there's dude on dude action?? YAY!

Well, technically, it's dude on himself action, but... with a time traveling twist. Or something. It's not all that explicit but it still made me go 'wait, what? LOL.'

It's a pretty wonderful book regardless, though.

What is all this Henry on Henry action I keep hearing about? Does he actually have sex with himself in the book? Just curious.

Sorta. It's not explicit, but there's a scene that starts with: We're doing what we usually do when we're both past puberty and haven't gotten to girls too. I think everyone would do this if they could - I mean, I know I'm not gay.

Then his dad walks in and catches them in the middle of it and it's AWKWARD. So it never mentions if it's actual sex or just messing around but it DOES mention they were naked, so. And there ARE mentions of a menage a trois, but that was mostly just teasing.

It's still somewhat of a mindfuck considering it's supposed to be a het romance (of sorts).

You know, how old was Henry when that happened? I think if he was young they probably wouldn't put it in. I wonder thought, it would be something interesting, but I can how they'd edit it out. There's so much in the book I'm wondering how they're going to put that stuff in.

Mmm, you're right, I think he was supposed to be around fifteen... It's such an important scene, not only because of the mindfuck but because of the explanation of this 'verse's static timelines.

Audrey Niffenegger herself trolled around some TTTW forums a while back and said she had no control whatsoever with the screenplay. She sounded somewhat miffed about it, but I think it was mostly because no one would tell her ANYTHING. So. Who knows. (She also mentioned having seen three or four screenplays, and saying that most of them overly sweet...)

Oh god, as sweet as I want this movie to be, I don't want it to be so sweet that it ruins the mood of the film. Is it wrong that I'm nervous and not looking forward to this film?

I was reading something, and now I can't remember what, but they were saying that "The Golden Compass" is a bad movie, that's the rumor. And I'm thinking about how book adaptations can be so easy to ruin for the screen.
