Mmm, you're right, I think he was supposed to be around fifteen... It's such an important scene, not only because of the mindfuck but because of the explanation of this 'verse's static timelines.

Audrey Niffenegger herself trolled around some TTTW forums a while back and said she had no control whatsoever with the screenplay. She sounded somewhat miffed about it, but I think it was mostly because no one would tell her ANYTHING. So. Who knows. (She also mentioned having seen three or four screenplays, and saying that most of them overly sweet...)

Oh god, as sweet as I want this movie to be, I don't want it to be so sweet that it ruins the mood of the film. Is it wrong that I'm nervous and not looking forward to this film?

I was reading something, and now I can't remember what, but they were saying that "The Golden Compass" is a bad movie, that's the rumor. And I'm thinking about how book adaptations can be so easy to ruin for the screen.
