I'm really, really bummed about Journeyman being cancelled. Especially when it was getting so good, and solving and creating more questions. BOO.
What I like about this show:
The time traveling: Because that's the star of the show, yo. And now I'm all frustrated because it had so much potential to develop: How was it that dr. Langley called Dan in the 90s? How is he related to the whole thing? Why does a time traveler has to die so another can start jumping? Is it hereditary? Is Livia even alive in 2007? And how does she get by? Who does she borrow cars/money/clothes/whatever from? I WANT TO KNOOOOOW, DAMNIT.
Dan & Katie: I absolutely adore them as a couple. There's so much love between them, and yet, the show doesn't gloss over about the problems that come with Dan's traveling: the mistrust and the fear and the loneliness and I love that. So much.
Livia: On the first episodes, I liked 90s!Livia more than time traveler!Livia because she seemed to bland in comparison the utterly alive creature that was engaged to Dan. But as the series progressed, she started getting more and more awesome, and I really really would've loved to see more of her, and her life in 1948.
Jack: I love how he's ZOMG SUPER BIG BROTHER IN A CRUSADE and how he truly wants the best for Dan(ny) even if he starts by going at it in all the wrong ways. And him still being hung up on Katie and yet caring more about Dan is just awfully interesting, and says a lot about him as a person. Why, yes, I'm still bitter about it being cancelled. *seethes*
I went shopping today! While I'm all for pretty clothes, today's shopping spree was quite different, lol. First I went book store hopping and I bought Alice in Wonderland because I've always wanted to read it and it was there, all pretty, an in English! I also bought volumes 2,3, and 4 of Ex Machina HELLS YEAH. It's lovely to have it in physical format, even if I already have all of the issues out in digital format. SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS COMIC. ♥
I also got myself a madeleine pan and three little tartlet molds and ZOMG I'm se excited to try them out! The madeleines look incredibly easy to do, too.
