And just like that, MY WHO LOVE, IT IS BACK.
Torchwood 2x12 - Fragments: So it is canon now, I guess: Torchwood was actually competent and kick ass and sort of evil and insane until Jack took command, right? And then he hired woobies. Woobies I love, yes, but woobies nonetheless, compared to the previous Torchwood employees. I-- I want to know more about Torchwood through the ages. It's like - it's steampunk, omg, these Victorian kick ass ladies with technology far beyond their years and they are ruthless and do each other in their free time. a;lsdjfal;dfj.
IN ANY CASE. I'm guessing it was sort of the job description to be clinically insane and have nothing to lose and be driven and be sort of machiavellicaly evil. I LOVE IT.
Other than that: OH, THE LOVE. Jack's part was amazing because of the said Victorian Torchwood Lesbians, which were so incredibly amazing. Creepy Tarot Child was also pretty rocking, and -- oh, damn you, Torchwood, for actually having Decent Character Development. I still think TW!Jack is a bit annoying, but now he makes complete sense, how he turned into that from spending so long waiting for the Doctor and having to deal with so many crazies at Torchwood. (Millenium Murderer guy was incredibly creepy). Also, First I'm going to kiss him, then I'm going to kill him ? omg;asdfjlaskjf.
Tosh: OH TOSH. I WANT TO HUG HER SO BAD. I love how we got to see just how brilliant she is, and why she's this messed up. I have the feeling that she has this sort of unacknowledge fear of being taken back by UNIT if she's doesn't excel at what she does, if she doesn't show her worthiness in TW. Which is so fucking scary but it would be so Tosh, wouldn't it? In any case, the only part of the ep I didn't like was the whole 'YAY LET'S DRAG UNIT'S NAME IN THE MUD, SHALL WE!' because dude, but no. BAMBERA WOULD NEVER AGREE TO THIS, K? I understand the need for familiarity (and okay, I sort of squee'd the minute I saw the first red beret), but you could've said it was like, MI6 or whatever (or James fucking Bond, that would've been hilarious).
Ianto: MYFANWY, OMG, ;ALSDFJLSDJF. I loved how funny and awesome was his part and yet how much it hurts that last look on Ianto's face as he walks away from Jack, the way all that stuff with Lisa hurts a bit more in retrsopective.
Owen: I CAN'T BELIEVE I LOVE HIM SO MUCH NOW. So heartbreakening. ;___; Also, that alien was wicked cool and creepy and the CGI didn't look that half-assed. Huh. And that scene at the cemetery was ACE.
In all honesty? It's kinda cheap that they all got off so easily with an explosion like that (Tosh was like, two FEET away from the bomb, come on!) but it was obvious. Ohhh well.
Okay, so what is best, Edwardian Ghost Hunters or Victorian Torchwood Lesbians?? AAAAH I CAN'T DECIDE.
In other news, I'm writing about a Tiny Genious Psycopath. That kisses himself. Um. Pronouns are bastards, by the way.

Everytime I think I've eventually gotten over this ep someone does a reaction & OMG I AM SO NOT OVER IT YET.
TOSH. "Oh baby, you're good." DAMN RIGHT SHE IS! & now, it all makes sense that her & Martha had fuck all interaction, because she was staying well away from the UNIT person.
Ianto. OH MY HEART.
& OWEN. It's kind of weird to think that I used to want to punch him on a regular basis. FUCK YOU S2 FOR MAKING ME CARE ABOUT HIM SO DAMN MUCH.
& I had the same thoughts on how everyone lived through that explosion [Jack sort of didn't but...] but, in all honesty, I would have never forgiven RTD if he had killed any of the team. Well, except Gwen but she wasn't there -.-
WHERE DID THE SUCKY TORCHWOOD GO?!

except for her poorly-printed cards, those were embarassing
Also, First I'm going to kiss him, then I'm going to kill him ?
awww Jack
I found it kind of funny that he pronounces "schedule" the Brit way.
I was wondering, was Naoko Mori's character in S1 Doctor Who also Toshiko? Because that would be weird timeline business, I think...
OH IANTO
poor Owen

Apparently they've retconned it as TOSH UNDERCOVER YAY. Which... is still weird. Huh. (though I guess not as weird for the kiddies as watching Freema dying one episode only to be back the nest one, lol.)

ianto's story was so good. because. i mean. i love him to itty-bitty bits and pieces. i dunno, there's just something about him. i think it's cause he's a big ol' baby crier.

it made me enjoy tosh more. i wish i could get into her.
