I am 37% into glorious SPN land. Can I hear a yay? YAY.

You know, it pains me to hear that even Jared Padalecki thinks Sam listens to Death Cab for Cutie. Like. So wrong. Dude grew up listening to cockrock and Johnny Cash (yes, I do think John was a Johnny Cash fan. Shut up.) I very much doubt he'll go over and like soft indie, lol. In my head, Sam likes Nirvana. Dean used to mock him for it, but not with a lot of bite. He finds Foo Fighters to a travesty and even now he's still midly disappointed in Dave Grohl. Oasis shouldn't be mentioned in his presence, no sir, he can't stand those fucking brothers and their disturbing family dinamics (a bit too close to home?). He also likes The Who and a bit of the Rolling Stones but only a bit and he hated Nu Metal with a passion, one of the few things he can agree with Dean on. To Sam, Limp Bizkit deserves a slow, slow death. For some strange reason, I've always thought Sam has a bit of a soft spot for Placebo, in a 'I try not to think about it that much' way, but he's never been what you would consider a fan. And while I like that fanon that Sam digs the Smiths (and the consequent fic about it, yum), I just can't see it. For all that Sam is droopy, he's more angry than droopy. *shrug*

But for the life of me I can't figure out what recent band he'd be into. What do you guys think?

I have the feeling I should add a footnote about how these are the thoughts of the Sam in my head and not mine. Y'all know me, I'm a goddamn indie princess that once was obsessed with Linkin Park. In Junior High, I must add, don't judge me.

And now I shall go and write about another pair of fucked up brothers that like shooting things and touching each other a tad too much. Because the Connor/Murphy is just calling me, yo.
