Oh man, today and last night have been DAYS OF PANIC. I suddenly realized what the date was (as soon as I'm out of school I tend to forget what day I live in, srsly) and that today was the LAST day to hand in all my documents for the student exchange. CUE PANIC. So I drove around town all morning long to a)take pictures, b)pick up my TOEFL grade and c)get all my shit together and put the expedient together. It was long, and tiredsome, and the traffic was HORRIBLE and I was nervous out of my mind and it all sucked, basically. Even now, I don't have everything yet - NO ONE told me I had to REQUEST an official kardex, instead of just printing the one on my student account, and that takes TWO DAYS. Today doesn't count so that'd be ready on tuesday. The guy in charge of checking the documents in the student exchange office (another student, doing his social service, I'll start that next semester arrrrgh) was really nice, though, and he said if I take the kardex to him as soon as I get it, I'll still have a chance.
I AM NERVOUS. A LOT. Which isn't helped by the two friends also applying with me NOT HAVING PASSPORTS (duuuude, how do you wait so long to ask for it when you know you need a copy for the expedient?) and one of them failing the TOEFL. I DON'T WANT TO GO TO LONDON ALL BY MYSELF, DAMNIT, I'M SUCH A LITTLE GIRL. ;_____;
GOOD PART OF THE DAY: I kicked SO MUCH ass in my TOEFL exam. HELL YEAH. That's the English efficiency test, by the way. I got a 667/677. The dude that handed it in said he'd NEVER seen such a high grade. :D :D :D
Anyway, I'm applying to Thames Valley University. LONDONERS! Have you heard of it? Is it any decent? I only chose that one because it's close to the city, if I have to be honest. o_O
And now I shall go and do something nice. And fun. And probably pink and sparkly and RELAXING. Kung Fu Panda would've been PERFECT for it but I so don't feel like driving anymore and no one wants to take me. What do I have to do to get some love around here, damnit. ;__;

I have no idea if it's good for design, but it has a really crap reputation in general to be brutally honest, it's near the bottom of the uni league tables with massive drop out rates. I don't know if you just want to come to London to have a good time it probably doesn't matter much where you go - but i didn't go there so have no idea what it's really like.
Did you look at Goldsmith Uni, it's got a great reputation for creative courses, http://www.goldsmiths.ac.uk/. If you want a central location Westminster Uni has campus buildings all over the heart of the fun and central bits of London. Don't know what their reputation is for design type courses though. It's a good uni in general though, and has a great rep for international students having a good time.
Sorry - that's probably not what you wanted to hear.

Would London still be easy to reach by, dunno, train, or something? (the website claimed that it was ZOMG SO EASY and had ZOMG SO MANY BUSES, but who knows what's the real situation is...)
In any case, thanks for the info. :)
