I'm loving that when you go back, you can see all the hints towards future events that are sprinkled through the chapters. Add to that my general flaily-ness about the most recent flashback arc and there is a whole heapin' helpin' of Bleach LUV going on!

Wait, there's a flashback arc going on right now? (cough, Naruto much?) when does it start? I downloaded up to chapter 315, but haven't read them yet...

315 is the last of the 'current' chapters, then it goes into negative numbers. -108 to -97 (yes, it counts backwards) give some rather interesting background info and then the final chapter looks like it's going to lead into 316 or events shortly thereafter.

The negative chapters really do rock. Like, a lot. They would rock even if they didn't have a wee little Nanao with a big book talking with Kyouraku. But they DO and are made of WIN!!

And the scene with Nanao and Kyouraku is short, but absolutely ADORKABLE!

So, yes. Start with -108, read back to -97 and...come chat with me then. I really did enjoy this short arc.

That be Young!Byakuya in my icon. He's an absolute BRAT and I love him. Don't miss Chibi!Hisagi either (we find out where he got 69 from!)

Edit to add: Forget the anime for a while though, its in a fillar arc that's making the Bount Arc look good. D:

I've never seen the anime - I don't have enough patience or money to go through 100+ episodes that have nothing whatsoever to do with the manga, bah.

Well, aside from the fillar arcs (which are put in to give TK time to write moar manga) the anime follows the manga pretty closely. They may add a line, censor something, and (rarely) put the fights in a different sequence, but otherwise things are pretty close. The art up through the Soul Society arc is actually pretty good, but after that they apparently farmed it out to some South Korean orphans :( Especially when they're making Bleach movie. The fillar arcs tend to be the worst, art-wise. ~~and I always download instead of buying~~
