I was listening to Alex Turner's aside project today, The Last Shadow Puppets. I liked it! It IS a bit Artic Monkeys. Only not completely. It's very retro, very 60s, very Bond and very Cold War. It should be weird, but oddly, it's not - the songs sound a bit too much like each other, but in all, it's a pretty good album. Didn't see that one coming, lol.
Today was my last flamenco class. Well, not last, because I'm sticking around for another week to find out what the new teacher is like, but the last one with my group as it is, with my own teacher. It was really sad, we all teared up a bit and the place looked so desolate - they're selling all of the old costumes left, and taking the pictures down, and all. It's been ten fucking amazing years, and I wouldn't change it for the world. ♥
I've been reading all of Iron Man: Director of SHIELD, starting from the Extremis arc and oh, but how I'm loving it. Especially since Civil War and especially the Haunted arc - It's just so incredibly well written. I much prefer comics like this, sort of intimate and heavy on the psychology and character development and with mystery and detective work instead of the typical YAY SUPERHEROES KICKING EACH OTHERS page spreads that Marvel is so fond of. But really, it's fantastic! Tony is pretty much on the verge of collapse all the time and feels guiltyguiltyguilty over Civil War and keeps seeing all the people that died because of him - including the Cap. Tony's got Issues, and both Knaufs write them so well. ♥
Weirdly enough, Daniel Knauf also wrote Something Wicked for SPN. Smll world, huh? XD
(The annual was really bad though. It was very Bond, and Bond never translates well to comics - in live action movies, at least, the token sexy female spies will still be affected by gravity and, you know, reality.
