AS;DLFASDLJF. WHENEVER DID THIS SHOW GOT SO ACTUALLY GOOD??

Merlin 1x12 - To Kill The King: ;asdjfalskdj SO GOOD YOU GUYS. So very sombre, too, and quite, quite a different feel than the first episodes of the series. OH MORGANA. OH GWEN. They were both fantastic and heart-breakening. And then Morgana let a bit of what's to come for her slip into her amazing present self and ooooh, Somewhat Evil Morgana was a sight to behold. And Gwen, oh, poor Gwen. Of course she's the one that wouldn't want Uther dead.

And then Merlin was all conflicted and confused and I do love that it was Gwen that made him do the right choice. I also loved the ALSO conflicted Arthur (however little we saw of him) at not quite agreeing with Uther but looking up to him so much he can't contradict him, either, and defending him to Merlin! HE WILL LOOSE HIS SHIT THE MINUTE HE FINDS OUT ABOUT MERLIN. YES HE WILL.

Even Uther was fantastic this ep, when he wasn't, you know, killing innocent people, and stuff. UM.

And then the photography was actually fucking gorgeous. THIS WAS RATHER SURPRISING. BUT PRETTY. Especially on the last scenes over Morgana's father grave, with their cloaks getting blown by the wind, and the ominous darkness when Merlin follows Morgana, and then when Morgana confronts Uther, right before he throws her to the dungeons - with the dark room and the light entering through the windows in streaks and lasdjflasdj, so gorgeous.

Also, I absolutely love the way Arthur says Guinevere. MMM. I've always found Guinevere one of the prettiest names ever, and I was sort of sad at the beginning of the show when they shortened it to Gwen, actually.

SO THE GAY SHOW OF GAY WASN'T NEARLY GAY ENOUGH, BUT IT WAS BRILLIANT SO WHO GIVES A FUCK. ALSO, NEXT WEEK'S EP WILL BE ~EPIC~ OMG YESSS. And then it BETTER get a second series. YES.
