Merlin 1x13 - Le Morte D'Arthur: alskjfalskjflajf THAT WAS SORT OF EPIC, WASN'T IT? A bit melodramatic, too, but MOSTLY EPIC AND AWESOME AND AL;SDJFL;SDKJF.
Also, this ep really dad panter to all ships, didn't it? Gwen/Morgana with the fantastic post-nightmare face grabbing, and Gwen/Arthur with that amazing, amazing scene after Arthur wakes up (oh, God, the way he says Guinevere always melts me completely, and I'm loving the way the show is introducing the ship, she's so good for him) and of course Arthur/Merlin with THE ENTIRE EPISODE, ACTUALLY.

voldything was saying that if Arthur could remember Gwen talking to him, he probably should remember Merlin doing magic around him and lasdjflaskjdf HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE. Because, really, not having him know anything about, well, anything that was going on just made him sound, well, a bit callous, especially when Merlin was practically DECLARING HIS UNDYING LOVE, JEEZ. I loved that, though, and his little, quiet, 'just, don't be a prat.' ♥ OH THOSE TWO. I so want that in season 2. YAY SEASON TWO, BY THE WAY. IT BETTER BLOW ME AWAY.
Uther was sad and heart-breakening and fantastic, Morgana had almost no lines which is sad because I love how eerie she can be as a seer, Gwen was adorable, Hunith came out of NOWHERE, the photography and settings were gorgeous this week again and the DRAGON WAS SO FREAKING BADASS AND SORT OF EVIL, MAN, I LOVE THAT SHIT.
And Merlin was really quite Magical. And harcore. And awesome. Shielding himself from the dragon's fire!! Summoning lightning from the skies!! Holy shit so awesome. :DDDD
You know, I'd been sort of spoiled for Gaius dying and I was READY for it and already MOURNING for him and then he didn't die and I went WAIT WHAT but aw, he was rather awesome this week so that's okay.
UM HOW EXACTLY AM I TO SURVIVE WITHOUT THE SHOW FOR A YEAR? I SHALL SUFFER. INSIDE. LOTS. I wonder if I should buy the boxset while I'm in the UK. Probably not, as British shows are bizarrely expensive (wtf, seriously) and anyway my laptop can only play region 4 DVDs. BUT STILL. IT IS TEMPTING. Just like it is tempting to go nuts and buy all of New Who and all of Life on Mars but if it comes between a choice of, you know, eating or buying shiny dvds, IT'S EATING ALL THE WAY.

Has visto cuanto cuesta la primera temporada de Doctor Who? 1300 QUE CHINGADOS ESO ES UN INSULTO. Y aún así, me vería taaaan tentada a comprarme Merlin si de repente saliera aquí... Tengo fe que al menos salga en la tele, eso si, viendo que pasaban Robin Hood en Hallmark, y demás. OJALAAAA. Al menos para entretenernos en lo que llega la nueva temporada. ;___;

Re: Merlin, THANK YOU FOR LIKING THE ARTHUR/GWEN. I discovered a lot of people going "aw why the het? WHY IS THIS GETTING IN THE WAY OF MERLIN & ARTHUR'S LOVE??" but the way I see it, the fact that Merlin & Arthur's love was that really epic scene where Merlin says goodbye, there should be no complaining at all. And I love how good Gwen is for Arthur.
I AM SO GLAD GAIUS DIDN'T DIE, BY THE WAY.

Dude, NOTHING can get in the way of Merlin & Arthur's ~EPIC~ love, Arthur/Gwen is just an added fantastic a;lsdkjf-worthy bonus! It's like getting fantastic ice cream and THEN getting chocolate sprinkles on top. YOU DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE SPRINKLES. And clearly, I am hungry. HUH.
I love how Gwen is basically the moral compass of the show. She's the one that keeps everyone real and in the right and it is awesome. YAY GWEN. She'll be such a kick ass queen and she'll have hot nights of hot with either Lancelot of Morgana because I'd be sad if she was on her own while Arthur and Merlin are fucking behind tapestries (like you know they will).
