Merlin 2x01 - The Curse of Cornelius Sigan:
Wow, 5 minutes into it and they're going for quite a lot of shirtless Arthur, aren't they? I APPROVE.
Ooooh, the return of pretty pretty photography in the pretty pretty woods!
I have to say I was slightly miffed with the show pushing Arthur/Gwen so fast, but at the same time I'd forgotten just how CHARMING they are together. Seriously, they're so ADORABLE, regardless of how badly I ship Arthur/Merlin. Man, but Bradley and Angel have so much chemistry, mostly because they totally should have something going on in real life. YOU KNOW IT IS TRUE. On the other hand, it being canon so soon means Arthur/Merlin will be... awkward, from now on. SORT OF.
Anyway, LOVED the episode! It started out silly and funny and adorable and then it went all gloomy and there was much magic and really bad cgi and OH MERLIN feeling all inadequate and unappreciated and Arthur being all brave and yet prat-ish and the dragon being the manipulative slasher bastard we all know it to be and OH, SHOW. I AM SO GLAD YOU'RE BACK NEVER LEAVE MEEEEEEE. ♥

I KNOW! I don't RPS, but I'd love to think there was something going on between Bradley and Angel at some point. Anyway, I have mixed feelings about Arthur/Gwen... I loved all their interactions in s1 and can hardly wait to see how they develop their relationship, but the way Arthur looked at Gwen last night seemed to come out of nowhere.
I knew about how the writers seem to have pushed the reset button and about the lack of character development in this episode, but I had fun watching this and hope the series will get better just as it did last year. I'D MISSED YOU, SILLY SHOW :D

Yeah, there was a bit of that, but it's still not as bad as it was at the beginning of the series - Arthur was really prattish, but also quite noble; Merlin was really silly, but also quite powerful. It's just Gwen and Morgana who fared quite badly, and here's hoping we'll see more of them soon. THE SILLY SHOW, IT IS FINALLY BACK!! :D
